Classical. Moves me.
For me, it's MiraLAX. But classical music is nice to listen to during those moments.

Aside from other interests posted earlier in this thread, the sounds of which are music to my ears, Big Band and Jazz are pretty equal at the top of my list, which includes 40s thru 80s, Rock, Latin, Blues, Classical, Marches, and some New Age calming/meditating music, in that order.

I have a guilty pleasure - disco. Maybe it just comes from playing so much, but it's fun to play.

Thanks for reminding me! I'd place Disco between Blues and Classical... or maybe between Classical and Marches... or maybe between Marches and New Age... or.... Never mind; it's in there somewhere.

It's everywhere.

@Kehaulani "It's everywhere." Let's hope not.

Growing up there was nothing but big band around the house. All the greats. I didn't care for rock until I was in highschool. A friend played me Emerson, Lake, and Palmer's version of Bartok's Allegro Barbaro. Wow. That lead me to Yes, Genesis, and then on to some main stream rock of the 70's and 80's. CSN&Y, Doobies, King Crimson, Styx, Eagles, etc. I never listened to much classical at all until college. Then I discovered Baroque trumpet. That lead me into more music from the Baroque period, then on into other areas of Classical music. I married a farm girl and learned to appreciate country music.
Now I enjoy listening to anything that is played well.

I have no specific preference, it just has to be artistically rewarding and not "demo music".

From a judgmental perspective - I feel the same as Rowuk.
Preferences depend on my specific mood and circumstances.
In the evening preparing dinner, i am fine listening to jazz, trumpet, big band, guitar, Segovia or classical flute. Depends on what i am preparing. If i want to sit down and listen -- it is objective oriented. Years ago while i was living in Denver, the classical station played all 9 Beethoven Symhonies on New Years Eve, ending with Missa Solemnis. On several occasions i would listen to the entire broadcast. On the other hand, i may
do the same thing with Miles Davis and Dave Brubeck. -

Just found this "History" of preferences that is very interesting:
