Definitely not interchangeable. I believe they are even made by different factories.

RE: Conn Continental Clarion Silver Trumpet
I don't see why not? $150 isn't very much and that appears to be in excellent condition. Probably could get more for it than that. I'm not a vintage horn expert but I think $150 would be VERY reasonable.

Matt Brockman: SCAM
It has come to my attention that an unscrupulous sleaze ball is ripping off unsuspecting individuals who are looking to improve their trumpet skills.
This is a PSA: Matt Brockman is a hustler & scammer. His program is not worth 1/10 of what he offers. Please do not purchase anything he is selling.

RE: Your chance to own the world's most useless (yet interesting) trumpet!
I think it would be an interesting instrument to try to learn. Not quite a bass trumpet and not quite a standard Bb trumpet.

RE: European Music Scene
No, I mean opportunities to play. I'm not concerned about making a living but are there amateur orchestras and bands and how good are they, generally speaking?

Checkout what I found. An Eb trumpet....but a LOW Eb trumpet at that.

European Music Scene
I'm very interested to know what the European music scene is like. Especially the amateur / semi-pro scene. I live in a medium-sized city in the USA but there are almost no playing opportunities here for me. I am on the backup list for a local amateur orchestra and that's about it. The nearest professional orchestra is a minimum of 5 hours away, either north or south.
What's it like in Europe?

RE: Play Through or Rest
I know the Caruso method, but I would suggest that you not take it to any extremes. If you injure yourself, that could be the end of your brass career. And, at the very least, if you are making really nasty sounds, that will alter your internal "ear" that you use when you are playing music.
I would generally stay away from methods like Caruso. There is so much out there that is genuinely helpful and not damaging in any way.
