DAVID F. COLEMAN founded/directed the chamber ensemble Top Brass, touring nationally/internationally as that ensemble's leader for 25+ years. As a chamber musician and soloist he has secured funding from The National Endowment for the Arts, The American Music Center, The Ohio Arts Council, Meet the Composer, LexisNexis, the Southern Arts Federation, Arts Midwest, The Mead Foundation, CultureWorks, the U.S. State Department, and many others.
Mr. Coleman is a graduate of The Indiana University School of Music, also receiving the coveted Performer's Certificate. He won the Joseph Fischoff National Chamber Music Competition and Coleman National Chamber Music Competition. Teachers: Allan Dean (Yale), Charles Gorham (Indiana University), and Louis Davidson (Indiana University. He has been represented by Rile Artist Management (Philadelphia, PA) Robert M. Gewald Management (NYC) and The Alkahest Agency (Atlanta, GA)
