Buffet Crampon - no real info on this one, but it’s a lot like a heavier Selmer...

My long and short Holton New Proportions cornets
Top is a 1909. My favorite cornet of all I have. The pitch slide leaks, you’re seeing the candle wax I use to keep it playable
Bottom is a 1911 Couturier model. I really enjoy this as well

My 1958 Holton B47. In raw brass. My main use trumpet. Have tried many many new and used trumpets but no temptation to buy as this horn really does anything I need

Not so vintage but the only actual “horn” so far.
Besson 955 Sovereign. Not my personal instrument, it is band owned. This horn actually gets my most miles. I love playing baritone horn

Is this a rare find? It appears to have a rather small bell for a flugelhorn. How does it sound? How accurate does it slot?

I suppose this is vintage - it’s 44 years old. 1976 Bach Stradivarius ML 43. It’s my go-to trumpet, great instrument.

It is rather rare, though you can find them. It has a smaller bell than most flugel size, and won’t fit on a K&M peg. It also takes a cornet shank mouthpiece, and I found a very deep one to get the right sound. Intonation is not bad as long as you don’t overblow, like every other flugel. I really wanted one because it was odd, but turns out it plays better than expected! It would never be a replacement for my F2, but I could use it as a backup if needed.

                                      Daily players: Adams A1, A4LT, F2 flugel , CN1 cornet.
