Crickets?

Has this site had basically crickets for participants lately or is there something wrong on my end. Inquiring minds want to know?

Let me rub my legs together and see!

Only if you keep them together after the rubbing.
So now I get a ribbing for rubbing!

@SSmith1226 Ah, yes........ eventually falling asleep and dreaming about taking a flamethrower to all those noisy crickets to stop their incessant racket!

Both here and TH has changed a bit. Here the contributions have stayed with the TM trend, frequently devolving into silliness. TH has had the influence of the very young crowd. Both means that I rarely find anything of interest. I spend a bit more time on Euphonium.com because that's what I'm working on now. But even there, how much do you want to read about this horn or that, this mouthpiece or that.

Hey Richard, I can't find a forum page on http://euphonium.com/index.html. Where do I look?

Lots to do! We got 3 shipments of new brass within a week not long after we bought an estate, all the while used horns coming in at their usual rate. I only have about 15 horns left from those large shipments, but there is an enormous pile of used and vintage waiting!
Gigs have also been nonstop through December and January. Many days I finish work and head straight to a gig. Next week is NAMM, and I’m also prepping to run SWOJO’s Girls Jazz Band program this year. I have worked as an improv coach the past two years, but will be running the big band this year. I plan on including some theory and improv lessons in the big band rehearsal, so have been getting my material ready for that. Though I have taught privately in the past, I’m a performer and not an educator, so I like to spend some time making sure I can be clear for young kids and break things down simply enough. So much to do, so little time! -

Know the feeling. I once flew all the way from Texas to Germany and went right into a club for gig. Gad!
-
TH seems to be going through its periodic "What's the best mouthpiece/trumpet/flugel ?" laundry cycle. The really sad thing is when it is kicked off by experienced musicians who know better, and are just feeding the noise like clickbait articles.

I have those days too where I leave work right to a rehearsal or gig. I look at this as a positive as it gives me more to look forward to after a hard day at work.
Don't get me wrong, I love my day gig at listening to and helping people work through health, mental and personal problems, but after 9 hours of this, sometimes I like heading out to "blow my brains out"... and I mean this in a GOOD way!

Oops. Too many sites. That is it. Thanks. I have it bookmarked as just "euphonium."

I have been very busy with business and now grandchildren. I've been checking in occasionally though and posting.
-
I've been busy with a thousand other things as well. On top of that, I signed up for the annual Monument Ave 10k race this year, and have to seriously get my butt in gear and get out there jogging!
-
It has been slow lately. Maybe I'll run another Facebook campaign to gain some new members.
-
We also seem to have a lot of joiners that have never posted. It would be nice if they would participate.
