@ssmith1226 Single brace on outer tuning slide, what appears to be an Amado water key on a "C" shaped tuning slide, no adjustable 3rd slide apparatus, no apparent bulge nor reflection from what would be the hexagonal end of the mouthpiece receiver. Probably not a Bach. No irregularity/reflection where the 3rd slide stop limit screw would be found on a Yamaha, either.
Here's a blurry video of probably the same horn. A ring on the 1st valve slide and dents in the bell: Youtube Video
And if that's not blurry enough, check out this extra-blurry video:
Now that was really interesting. I use P.E.T.E. and the end of each day and now I will add Fish Face. I tried it as he was talking and I could feel its effect immediately. Thanks for that, Steve.

I was there! It was a truly magnificent concert. Burghausen is 30 minutes up the road for me and there is a lot of jazz happening there, I play in their monthly Jam sessions. I also spent 3 days in a masterclass with Jon Faddis, a wonderful warm human being.
Well, I've heard worse attempts at singing, including my own, but all in all I'd say, good job, Steve. And a nice production you put together, too.

I bought the dvd when it was released several years ago. Good acting by Ethan Hawke, who took trumpet lessons so he could look more believable as Chet Baker, but it was indeed the Canadian player who did the actual playing, and he was fantastic.
I don't know how much of the film is factual, but it got good reviews from those who knew Chet so I'd guess it was an acceptable attempt. I watch the movie once or twice a year and always enjoy it, even though the ending is downbeat.

When I started on trumpet, at the tender age of 22 after winning a trumpet in a tombola (!), no one mentioned air support or posture to me...
but then, I was an experienced choir singer and already in the second year of voice studies at university...
I watched that Abbott and Costello routine, being shown on a loop at the baseball hall of fame about 20 times in a row before my son dragged me away. I did you, I had already seen it plenty of times beforehand. I tried to find a weakness in it, a slight mistimed line, a stammer, a stutter, but alas, nothing. Perfection.
Thanks, Steve, I was hoping to see something about that concert on youyube. The audio wasn't great but we could all see just how well Doc could still play.
