According to Classic Fm, “ Your taste in classical music is about to expose your true colours...

There’s a pretty popular theory that suggests there are four key personality types: sanguine, choleric, melancholic, and phlegmatic.

And we reckon we can reveal yours from just your classical music preferences. Yes, really.

Let’s see how accurate we are...”

The result, “choleric”, was accurate for me.

If you want to give this theory a shot, here it is:

      https://www.classicfm.com/lifestyle/quizzes/classical-music-reveals-personality-type/

Let us know whether it was accurate for you.

That was fun but, like a lot of surveys, somewhat arbitrary. For example, Mediaeval or 21st century? I love them equally, what idiom to choose?

Choleric here also. Looking at the definition - not from the survey but other sources - something to reflect on. I see myself a little differently but not completely different.

I prefer the definition from the survey. As far as the definition or description of “choleric” outside of the survey, my wife might agree more with that, except she also was defined as “choleric” by the survey. Lucky break for me!

I meet Classic FM's definition of choleric, but definitely not Merriam-Webster's.

According to the quiz, I’m melancholic. According to their definition, that’s pretty accurate.

I came out as "choleric," which, other than sounding a whole lot like the dread disease "cholera" does a good job of describing my personality.

Maybe there’s an over-weighting on the brass v string response? +1 for the cholerics

What did you answer for "eliminate this instrument" question? I chose the flute, but it was a toss-up between that and the triangle.

                        Choleric. Somewhat correct, I think.

@administrator, same. The flute had to go.
