RE: Arturo Sandoval
The U. S. Air Force Band is the name of the entire organization which consists of the USAF Concert Band, Airmen of Note, Strolling Strings, Max Impact and the Singing Sergeants. YouTube answered my question - Airmen of Note with the Strolling Strings. Thanks.

RE: Arturo Sandoval
Just a question about terminology, but was that The U.S.A.F. Band or the Airmen of Note with the Strolling Strings?

RE: New Toy (not a trumpet)
Ref difference between Jerico's and Kehaulani's cars:
Brigette Bardot and Daisy Duke, LOL. -
RE: Jet Tone Custom 1A mouthpiece
Try Legends, too. They do excellent reproduction work.

"It is my understanding that this was told directly to the parent(s)"
So, your information is second or third hand?

"But make sure that is actually what the teacher said and the student "heard"." That implies to me that you actually do that before moving on with any further action. Could've been clearer.

Tell the teacher the next conversation you will have is with the Superintendent of Schools. You can easily back up your position. But make sure that is actually what the teacher said and the student "heard".

RE: 5 Minutes That Will Make You Love the Trumpet- New York Times
@ssmith1226 - just a couple of random thoughts -
I've almost never lusted after the trumpet, per se. To me it was a means to an end, which is namely the music.
Kenny D - one of my best friends in the 60s was in a rehearsal band in N.Y. that Kenny led. I learned about Kenny through him. BTW referring to music as a business, at the time Kenny was working at a music store "giving out reeds" as my friend characterised it. What a waste.
Those are some nice selections, thanks.
(p.s. although I do have a problem with the assumptive nature of one of the titles.)

Disco Brass Bands
I heard an Austrian or German disco band like this at a musical convention in Austria several years ago. They were just one of many "secondary" acts, so don't remember their name. They were better than this bad, full of energy and lots of fun.
BTW, the band's name has several translations. among them, as "Pack, mob, Mafia, pack of hunting hounds", etc.

p.s. I am not endorsing Yamaha products because I am a Yamaha Certified Teacher. I used their products before my certification. -
RE: Trombone Help
I am a Certified Yamaha Music Teacher and always had good results with their basic trombones. Perfect for beginning/intermediate players and if there is a problem (for me never was) it's backed by a oood warranty.

RE: kehaulani
Thank you. I'll quote my facebook page:
"I would like to thank those who expressed concern at my silence. I can't write everyone personally, so please understand it's meant for you, personally, at any rate.
I have had serious sight challenges (seven recent eye operations) and resulting in sightlessness for some time. Talk about terrifying.
At any rate, thank you, again. Response will be sporadic but full of gratitude, in any case."K-
