C8? I want one.
It is the C8 with the Z51 Performance package which is top of the line! To be expected from an Engineer employed as a consultant for Wright Patterson Airforce Base.

RE: New Toy (not a trumpet)
My daughter's boyfriend brought this by the home yesterday. Took me for a spin. But the time I had said, "let me know when we get to 60" we were already at 94 mph. Goes from 0-60 in 2.8 seconds... AND can you feel it!

I love the sound you are getting on your Getzen Flugel, Doc. But I must admonish you on one thing...
YOUR POSTURE...not good, Doc...Posturing concepts come from my training as a physician, that is to get to the physical level of the patient to connect better through eye contact, voice clarity. So I "practice" the same standard when I am directly playing duets with an ensemble member. In the clips shown I am harmonizing (improvisational at that) with at soprano player and trying to get to his instrument level, mostly to best hear his notes and then intonation to assure we are complimenting each other rather than being overbearing in a response.

For those not using Facebook, here is a still clip of that same gig on Thursday:
Felt great getting back into playing out again!

RE: Band Re-start for Fall
Came out of hibernation a second time after the Delta surge. Here I am just Thursday at Wholley Grounds that just reopened after the owner came down with Covid. Very small snippet of me harmonizing with a soprano and flutist.

Again, this reminds me of a retirement village resident sitting outside on a bench along the public walkway leading to the village. A scantly clothed young lady approached him and said:
" I can give you super sex".
To which the retirement resident replied:
"I'll take the soup".

I just got this one for my wife... for an anniversary present . It's a bit on the other end of the size spectrum... but it is in black:

It did not work. There were no disruptions as promised.
FWIW - The next time I went to the TB website after liking your comment, I encountered Server Error.
What's not to like?

You won’t hear a discouraging word... while the deer and the antelope play.
And the skies are not cloudy all day…….
ALL TOGETHER NOW ...
Home home on the range
Where the deer and the antelope play...Fun fact: two animals mentioned in the song are incorrectly named.
Buffalo are really Bison.
Antelope are not that, but are American Pronghorns.
That would just ruin the song, though. How would you fit those names into the lines and make them rhyme to boot? Haha. You're welcome everyone!
Says da homosapien!

@dr-go
Can Harrelson craft a copy of the original custom 1a? I would be interested. I play on a Jettone custom 2a now and like it alot. I like the idea of a interchangeable larger backbore for comfort. Here is his website address for mouthpieces:
https://www.whyharrelson.com/store/c5/Mouthpieces.html
His email contact is harreslontrumpets@gmail.com.
He may well have a copy of the 1a. The interchangeable backbore is a real game changer.
