My toy is 42 years old.

So... Where does the trumpet fit?

Again, this reminds me of a retirement village resident sitting outside on a bench along the public walkway leading to the village. A scantly clothed young lady approached him and said:

" I can give you super sex".

To which the retirement resident replied:

      "I'll take the soup".

I just got this one for my wife... for an anniversary present . It's a bit on the other end of the size spectrum... but it is in black:

It did not work. There were no disruptions as promised.

FWIW - The next time I went to the TB website after liking your comment, I encountered Server Error. 🤨

      What's not to like?

You won’t hear a discouraging word... while the deer and the antelope play.

And the skies are not cloudy all day…….

      ALL TOGETHER NOW ...
      Home home on the range
Where the deer and the antelope play...

Fun fact: two animals mentioned in the song are incorrectly named.
      Buffalo are really Bison.
Antelope are not that, but are American Pronghorns.
That would just ruin the song, though. How would you fit those names into the lines and make them rhyme to boot? Haha.

      You're welcome everyone!

Can Harrelson craft a copy of the original custom 1a? I would be interested. I play on a Jettone custom 2a now and like it alot. I like the idea of a interchangeable larger backbore for comfort.

Here is his website address for mouthpieces:

      https://www.whyharrelson.com/store/c5/Mouthpieces.html

      His email contact is harreslontrumpets@gmail.com.

He may well have a copy of the 1a. The interchangeable backbore is a real game changer.

      Welcome, Dave!

Ohoh That means I will need to stop plagiarizing his Facebook memes that I have been posting in the Humor section. Coolerdave, can you find it in your heart to forgive?

@shifty said in Password expiry - why?:

I've been here since we started (March 2019) and have never been asked to change my password. I do stay logged in between sessions (usually).

I too have been here without log in problems with the exception of a brief period when a Moderator had unilaterally banned me off of TB out of a fit of rage. That Moderator was later permanently banned when his rage continued onto others here at TB, so in a way, I feel vindicated for that brief time away.

    • RE: THE DAY THE MUSIC DIED

I experienced this first hand (and still have it intact, THANK GOD) when I traveled to Saudi Arabi with my Pocket Trumpet. I had it confiscated 3x at airports I traveled through at the time (in 2014). Each time, it was returned to me by a superior agent after I had the chance to plea with them that I only intended to practice the horn in the privacy of my hotel room with a silent mute attachment (that I took out of the case and showed them). In each case, the horn was returned with the warning not to play in public.

I did play it once, during a celebration party of my visit, way out in the desert after I thought I had silently walked away from the host, where I played Caravan. As fate would have in, several host diplomates followed me out into the desert (unbeknownst by me) and heard me playing. I turned around to see applause. I returned from that party, hands intact.
