I discovered Suolo a few years ago. Just love their bucket mute. So seductive!

Both of which are the bags of the healing Arts!

RE: How is this possible?
Seriously:
This is a marking used for string instruments, which can play notes all on the same bowstroke but separated. Piano music may notate this with the intention to imitate strings that is to join the notes but not completely. This is termed portato and is described as an effect midway between legato (smoothly joined) and staccato (completely separated).

But then there is this version (the sign off for WNOP in Cincinnati when I was a kid), I think the most beautiful version of the Star Spangled Banner EVER. Lou Rawls. LOVE THAT PIC TRUMPET PART:

...I favor the "proportional route" and matching the rim diameter to the lips as much a possible. Smaller lips should get a smaller rim.
My solution was to kiss a lot, and I mean a lot of girls during my school years to help build more functional muscle. My rim diameter got bigger to match their cup sizes, most of them C cups... but I do remember one with a D cup! Yes!

RE: Favorite Trumpet Playing Memory
My most gratifying performance was after I was asked by my trumpet idol, Till Bronner, to join him on stage to trade 8's on an improv he was doing, and after we finished, his announcing to audience while pointing to me: "What an amazing F**king set of chops!"

RE: An Unusual Chet Baker Artifact?
I rectum the sound flows freely, and the finish I am sure is flushed.
Then to clean it with paper on a role, and then finish it off with a bristle brush. When playing on any head, those emissions lengthen and grow,
As the ear hears wafting, swirling, as it circles into the void below. On TM I was gmonady, on here I'm Dr GO, but when it comes to commenting on Ducolax, either way I'm in the know.

...I see 2 trumpets with tuners on them.
BINGO!!!! If these two cats use them.... just sayin'. Thanks for responding. I had forgotten about this awesome video!!And I am not so sure this is a good thing... Perhaps just perhaps in a recording studio, but not in real time performance.
Why? It is a section leaders responsibility to be in tune with the ensemble, not necessarily the perfect pitch. I have played in many an ensemble when the leader (bassist) insists on tuning to them. Tonight, I play in a big band rehearsal at the University of Dayton's piano is a quarter tone flat where I have to put the tuning slide out about an eighth of an inch from the perfect pitch. I have a tuning app on my phone, but I tune to the piano, not the app, and I expect my entire section to tune with me (which they do).

How do people keep time when making videos like this? Do they use a click track?
Mike
My guess is a single chamber cardiac pacer for standard rhythms and a duel chamber biventricular for resynchronization.
