The heading for the Lounge section says that no religious posts are allowed.
I will obey that restriction by NOT posting my prayer request.
Although I have much studying to do for my FCC exam on September 7th,
and I am afraid that I won't remember everything I need to know,
and I am afraid that I won't be able to find transportation for me and my electric wheel chair to the FCC testing site
for the test at 9 am to Noon on September 7th, which is a Saturday morning,I will respect the prohibition against religious posts.
So I will refrain from posting my prayer request,
even though passing the FCC exam on September 7th means so very much to me.*** Bless.

I can keep positive thoughts for you sir
A prayer from me-a non believer would probably have no merit
I’m sure you’ll do fine and transportation won’t be an issue -
Hi Moshe,
What! No preying? How am I suppose to eat!?!
On a side note, I wish you the best of luck on the FCC exam! -
Hi Moshe,
I'm not sure what you mean by this thread. Prayer requests are totally fine. I'm just trying to avoid "religious debates" and such. But yes, prayers and thoughts with you, I sure hope all goes well. Thanks,

I may be wrong. But a prayer request is not a religious post. You are not debating a religious topic. You are not making negative or derogatory statements. You are simply expressing a need.

Well, there are some prayers or prayer requests that wouldn't be appropriate for this kind of site because they express the primacy of one particular religion or derogate others. But there are more generic prayers that, while not everyone's "cup of tea", should not be overly offensive.

But my religion is the only one that is right.
Never-the-less, in deference to the rules of this Web site,
I will refrain from quoting from the New... Oops...Morris / moshe

@moshe I'm afraid I can't assist with prayers Moshe, but can wish you the best of luck. I hear that plenty of study brings luck and can even trump prayers in matters like these.

de vk3azrInteresting tj how you use trump and prayes in the same sentence says the good doctor with tongue in cheek. Nudge, nudge... A nod is as good as a wink to a blind bat.

You're absolutely right...……………………..for you.

For me, music is my religion so spreading the message is a divine duty.

So many people have posted insulting things,
I completely regret having created this thread
that gave them a forum to vent.Morris / moshe

Just an idea. Maybe something so intimate and potentially prickly as discussing someone's personal God shouldn't be done in such an open forum for to do so comes the risk of one's feelings getting hurt either intentionally or unintentionally. It takes a very thick skin to discuss God on an open forum.

@Dr-Mark
Damned right. And for those of you who don't agree, may God strike you down!

My feelings are not hurt.
Before I retired and was physically disabled,
I served 2 years as pastor of a church among nice people
and 10 years as evangelist among vicious people. My mistake was thinking that everyone here would just read my request and keep it in mind if they felt led to do so.
I honestly did not expect anyone to be snotty.
I honestly did not expect anyone to post replies at all.For 10 years I expected it from anti**********
but I did not expect it from friends here.I blame myself.
I opened the door and they felt free to do it.I hope the administrator either locks this thread
or, better yet, deletes this thread.
I don't want to be the source of antagonism here.
I'll leave permanently rather than be the source of antagonism that ruins the site for everybody.Morris / moshe

Why are you taking this so seriously? A rule of thumb, I accepted year ago, that every act I didn't like acted, first and foremost, as a mirror to myself. This strikes me as fairly good natured comments.
