In addition, I refer you to this article that gives a very good differential diagnosis of lip dysfunctions in which Dystonia, thankfully is not as prevalent as other treatable etiologies.
This Table give you a comparison of the various conditions and their symptoms to the differential cause of embouchure dysfunction:
Finally, here is the proportion of all causes of non-ED and ED (with the percentage of ED among instrument types):
HOPE THE ABOVE ARTICLES HAVE BEEN HELPFUL

But based on what you shared, you're playing the trumpet beyond your normal abilities, and you are suffering negative consequences. You most likely have a soft tissue injury. Based on this, you need rest, you need to avoid the type of playing that caused this problem, and you need to work on exercises to refocus your embouchure.
Mike
I agree with Dr. Mike. I believe this is more of a tissue injury and not a permanent neuropathy. I refer you to this case report published in the medical literature;
I believe if you read the above case report this may parallel your presentation. The compression of the trigeminal nerve will cause this as a temporary set back:
The treatment by the authors in this case:
This would be my recommendation at this time. Do give us follow up as Dr. Mike and I will reassess your situation using time as our most reliable treatment option.

According to Reverb, the Holton was made in Japan.
Would that actually then make it a Futon? Sleep on it, then let me know. Ah So!

As a Pediatrician, I live by the saying: Much better to be pissed off than to be pissed on.
"Clea" is nice. Best song ever? Not sure. I am partial to this one "Make Me Yours" by Kenesis, the band I played with in the late 70's:

BigDub,
You're a blessed man. Not everyone can do this. Some art is so realistic that it looks like a photograph. You take splotches of paint and create something even better.
You too are blessed Dr. Mark. I have heard you play and you take splotches of sound and turn them into beautiful music!

Yeah Wayne's work has a bit of magic to it.
AND that magic is for sale. You can have a little bit of BigDubs magic brighten up your house!. I have 6 rooms in my house (and one at my Mother in law's house - as a gift) of BigDubs brightening pieces of magical art!

It’s the sudden stop at the end that seems to be the problem.
This seems to be the problem with a lot of things. It's not the act but the sudden stop of that act that seems to be the problem. Just ask an alcoholic who tried to go cold turkey from alcohol...
Yep, its the sudden stop that's killer.
Dr. Mark, you are so right with sharing this. The mortality rate of an alcoholic stopping cold turkey is 30%! That is why we admit them to the hospital for detoxification.
It is also interesting as to how acutely life threatening narcotic abuse is; however, when an opoid dependent individual stops cold turkey, while going through a horrible period of withdrawal, they will rarely die from this choice,
It is of interest in reviewing the harm of both alcoholic and narcotics, that while alcohol is the most deadly, it is legal... while narcotics are illegal. Our society really always keeps me guessing as to our rules. But in my profession, I don't make the rules, I just treat the consequences. And my heart goes out to individuals that suffer though these and any other dependencies.
@Niner said in The hammered bell:
@FranklinD That's interesting. It's not a dead proposition. The main things the bell shaft dings are claimed to produce are:
Improved sonority: more warmth, more substance, fuller tonal sound
Improved balance of sound: enhancement of wanted, and reduction of unwanted frequencies
Improved projection: more power and better carrying capacity of the sound
Reduced blowing resistance: improved and easier responsiveness, therefore improved slotting
You know it is my experience and gleaning from all the reading I do on trumpets that if you will change the sound of the horn, the places that most will make this change is working with the bell and the bracing. Niner, it sounds [no pun intended] that you are proving this point! Nice post and great looking horn.

@moshe I'm afraid I can't assist with prayers Moshe, but can wish you the best of luck. I hear that plenty of study brings luck and can even trump prayers in matters like these.

Interesting tj how you use trump and prayes in the same sentence says the good doctor with tongue in cheek. Nudge, nudge... A nod is as good as a wink to a blind bat.
@tjcombo said in The hammered bell:
It would be very difficult to say if the hammering had any effect on how the horn played.
I believe that comment nailed it!

Chase would use 123 for high A.
Isn't that the nineteenth harmonic? (18th is G#, 20th is A#). Interesting.
Wonder whether the deciding factor in this choice is pitch, timbre, or testosterone.
For me it's convince. Using just one finger, and a very flexible one at that makes an otherwise temperamental note to sound so much easier to play. Especially if playing in a rapidly passing phrase.
