Dustin and Jane (both blonde) were delighted when finally their long wait to adopt a baby had come to an end.

The adoption centre called and told them they had a wonderful Russian baby boy, and the couple took him without hesitation.

On the way home from the adoption centre,

They stopped by the local college so they each could enrol in night courses.

After they filled out the form, the registration clerk inquired,

“Whatever possessed you to study Russian?”

      The couple said proudly,

“We just adopted a Russian baby and in a year or so he’ll start to talk. We just want to be able to understand him.”

Sounds to me that this couple may be Russian in to a bad decision. If you ask me, I think it's Bulchivic.

Another couple in Dustin and Jane's group of friends was much more successful with having children and loved the whole idea of being parents. Carl and Lisa had 3 children in rapid succession and all the friends were quite perplexed that they suddenly stopped having kids. Dustin and Jane asked them about it, saying, how come you stopped at three so sudden like? Don’t you want a big crew of children?
Well, we did, they said, but recently they heard that one out of four children born in the world is Chinese, and they just didn’t think they could take the chance.

So do you think that punch line will go viral?

Ole was a Norwegian from Minnesota, and of course, Lutheran. He got pretty drunk one Friday night and accidentally found himself, for the first time ever, ( unbeknownst to him ) in a confessional at a Catholic Church. After a while he hears knocking on the wall beside him. After another while he hears knocking again. He answers the knocking, you may as well stop knocking, my friend, there’s no paper in here either.

I thought my sarcasm would be obvious. A whole lot of them are Napoleons. A lot of these guys/gals wouldn’t make it a minute trying to do the tasks they criticize so freely.

@bigdub During The Great Depression, some automobile manufacturers provided one taillight as standard; the second was optional. There were buyers of bottom-of-the-line cars, such as this 1937 Ford Standard Model, who didn't want to spend the extra money to be able to be seen better at night, and the manufacturers saved the cost of including it, keeping the company's accountants happy. I saw what I consider such cheapness and stinginess as humorous from the perspective of the passage of 84 years. My thinking is that if you could afford a new car at the time, the nominal cost of the additional safety wouldn't hurt the budget.

                                        Every picture tells a story.

@j-jericho ...but I don't think any manufacturers included a white "back up" light at that time.

Lots of cars were sold in very basic form, with the expectation that the owner would customize them to their needs. That's how Western Auto got started. (Selling accessories.) Remember Western Auto?
