another finished piece. Pemaquid Point Light in Maine.

Reference the Glacier Bay video. Positively amazing!!!

Wayne, were you attempting something different in this picture ? It just seems a slight change in style. Or maybe it's just my old eyes. Regardless, it is a beautiful canvas.

@BigDub
And the painting ain’t bad either…
I hope that you didn’t fall down that cliff! -
@georgeb
I don’t think I was attempting anything specific, except to say that in a way, every painting I try something different and new. The fact is that I try to make every painting better than the previous painting!
Also, the reference photo is so critical, and if it is great, my chances are better of making a better painting. -
Thanks. Wayne, that explains a lot.

I hope this isn’t too soon to share another one. This is from a reference photo from New Jersey, so I felt like it was relatable to me in that it’s my turf, and I am familiar with the area. Near Califon, New Jersey. Same county as I reside.
-
Awesome. Makes me nostalgic for Maryland, that time of the year.

@bigdub
Oh, man, looking at that painting ( picture ) I felt myself transposed, breathing the fresh autumn air as I walked along that peaceful country road, leaving the cares of the world far behind me.
You are an amazing artist, Wayne.

Several years ago, I commissioned Wayne (BigDub) to paint this portrait of my dog Emily.
I am so rewarded by his excellent work, as now, this portrait serves as providing the fondest memory of this lovely spirit, as I had to put Emily down today do to progressive deterioration from a stoke she had last April. This picture is how I remember her. Wayne truly caught her personality in her eyes. Thank you Wayne!

So sorry to hear that, Doc. And I am humbled to hear those kind sentiments from you. It was truly a pleasure to paint her likeness and glad you will have that memory for years to come.
-
@dr-go It's heartbreaking to say goodbye to a faithful companion. My thoughts are with you.
-
So sorry, Doc. I know the pain of losing pets and my heart goes out to you.

I think I am doing something wrong. This is hanging in the Princeton University Art Museum. None of mine have shown up there, or any other museum, yet.
Not making this up. It’s about 5’x5’. Very subtle shades of black…..but not obvious… -
@bigdub Yeah, it's a real work o'fart all right. Subtle.
-
@j-jericho A similar thing is hanging in London's renowned Tate Gallery... a biiig red square, with a narrow black border titled "Adam". I think you can guess at how the next picture, "Eve", looks...

It's a black square, with a red border!! Who would have thought of that! -
@barliman2001 Genius!

My video which I posted on YouTube just 2 months ago has generated 933 views so far. I would love to reach that 1K plateau soon.
If you wouldn’t mind taking a look ( that’s all you have to do ), you don’t have to like or comment, just look. I may make it with your help!
Thanks for all the support! And a big thanks to Steve Snith for encouraging me to go for it!

If Jon Nagy could see this, he would both be proud and jealous of you!

@bigdub I don't mind watching it again. Let's get to that 1000 mark and more.
