@manfredv I figured that, considering the effort you put into your project, that this form of photography might interest you. Yes, I know that's not what you meant in your comment, and yes, I intended humor in my response, but I think an appropriate way to archive your work might be achieved by using a process which involves the dedication you had to your goal. Here's something I found when I was looking for a way to respond to your post: https://medium.com/vantage/a-first-timers-foray-into-wet-plate-photography-495680004324

@J-Jericho I can't remember doing it that way. However one of my life long hobbies is photography. So to me that was a very interesting article. I resisted the change to digital format for a long time. Heck I resisted going to autofocus I guess because I had so much manual equipment. I just wish I could figure out how to post a picture on this forum. I had no problem on TM. I suppose if you are lucky to live long enough the world leaves you behind.

This is how I post photos on an iPhone. I can not vouch for other devices.

                  1. Hit the curved arrow below the last discission in order to reply.

                  2. Look at the white menu bar immediately below the blue bar.

                  3. Slide the white menu bar to the left ( arrow 1 ) and select the horizontal line with an arrow perpendicular to it ( arrow 2 ).

                  4. Submit the post as you usually would.

@administrator I belong to the Unitarian church, which uses the "flaming chalice" as one of its symbols. (One wag once said the flaming chalice looks kind of like a candle in a martini glass.) So, I make these chalices out of different woods and give them away to other churches or individuals. They are basically big candle holders. The photo of me at the lathe is a purpleheart chalice in the early stages. The red colored chalice is made from a tropical wood called "bloodwood." (But tropical woods are marketed under many different trade names. There's no telling what species of wood it really is.)
