RE: Woodworking?
I've always enjoyed working with wood. I have been piddling around with it for years. But when I retired my wife and I built a house in the country near where she grew up. After our contractor finished the shell we decided to finish out the interior. After much research I decided to make everything from rough cut sawmill wood. Except for some plywood that I used to build the cabinets. I made all the trim, interior and exterior doors, windows, stairs. I will post some pictures when I figure out how.

RE: Attracting members who are interested in things musical/trumpet
@SSmith1226 I, like you are a 3 year come back player I originally joined tm for the information and got some great advice. When TB came to be I joined but someone mentioned that they wanted to keep TB for professionals. I'm never going to be a pro and this made me feel unwelcome. Lately I've been getting emails from TB I thought I would check it out again and happen to come across this post and I couldn't agree with you more. Well said.

RE: Triple by-pass reocvery
@oldpete I had bi-pass surgery 21 years ago. It's definitely a strange experience. My advice is to follow your doctors instructions. If you exercise and eat right you will find that you will feel better than you have for a long time. The thing I would caution you about is some people have depression after this kind of thing. If you strive to have a positive attitude and do what you are supposed to do there is no reason you can't recover and be better then ever. I wish you well on your recovery.

RE: Well, old age has finally caught up with me
@GeorgeB I have been taking plavix for more than 20 years. Due to a heart attack and a blood clot in my leg. I haven't had side effects. I think it depends on the individual.

RE: Woodworking?
@J-Jericho I can't remember doing it that way. However one of my life long hobbies is photography. So to me that was a very interesting article. I resisted the change to digital format for a long time. Heck I resisted going to autofocus I guess because I had so much manual equipment. I just wish I could figure out how to post a picture on this forum. I had no problem on TM. I suppose if you are lucky to live long enough the world leaves you behind.
