      @A-N-A-Mendez No-Toby and I had a dialog about a post but it was civil and ended well, and we're both on here now šŸ™‚

      I think it was just a coincidence. It had been down a few months earlier. What is curious is no one is willing to divulge who the owner is/was. Very early posts at TM suggest that the owner is known by more than just their screen name. Not that it matters, it's just a point of curiosity now.

      @N0isemaker said in Favorite Cornet:

      This is my Conn 36A " CONCERT GRAND "
      I just figured out how to post a photo.
      Some say this is one of the best cornets Conn ever made.
      I don't know about that but it has a great cornet sound
      and I have enjoyed having it.
      More information can be found on the " CONN LOYALIST " website.DSC_0032.jpg

      The "scuttlebutt" on the 36A was that Conn "borrowed" excessively from the King Master cornet design. What Conn did manage to do that King could not, was to make it sound like a cornet. I've played a '37 Silvertone and it was trumpet bright. It was a beautiful horn though. Conn "agreed" with King's assessment that they had borrowed too much from the Master model and instead of face copyright litigation, discontinued the 36A. The 36A is a very special cornet indeed.

      @tjcombo If you could get this small enough, it would be cool. But it's a picc, so it's probably only good for a nightlight!!

      Pulling my old Chase vinyl out off a dusty shelf now! Guess I'll be back in the 70s for awhile again today! Keep it coming, the 70s were a pretty good time (the parts that I remember anyway!).

      @trickg My Citizen broke and the jeweler said, "Oh well... "! It was a chrono from the late 80's. I will see if I can find it and take a pic. It's a beautiful watch. I also have some old Soviet era pieces from after perestroika!

      No, no, no. The Triple SUPER C! Not to be confused with the SUPER DUPER C;)

      Just making fun of youngsters questions in the past. I remember a guy who argued with Rowuk about a Double C being a "Super" C, etc.

      For real! Clyde Hunt has the best explanation in his "Sailing the 7 C's"! I was taught that high C was double high by a trombonist director. 😵 😵 😵
