RE: RIP Trumpet "Master"
When TM still had a heartbeat, someone asked where he was and was he posting. Based on his profile stats, 1/19/19 was his last check-in/log-in.

Can't have a thread like this without this classic, it just wouldn't be right!!

RE: Archive Retrieval Procedure For TM
VB is here, but I don't think it would work, but I'm no IT guru.

THat is totally possible, THough it wasn't THe original intent wiTH which I started! THen I THought it would be THeoretically funny, not THat I had any proof.

RE: TrumpetMaster Format
I liked it because I was used to it in 2009. Then they changed it a few years later. Many were upset because they had to figure things out all over again, I didn't like it either, but moved on. Doggone they did it again. I fumed, "If it ain't broke, don't fix it". Well some of it was broke (but I didn't use those functions, so didn't care), so a whole update was warranted. Each time it got better and better. It still had quirks, but it was much better. THe alternative is to be stuck in a format THat hasn't changed since it's inception. THat is not THe way I THink a forum should be run. THe admin has already made some improvements and processes are easier. GrowTH pains? Sure. But THe alternative is not what I THink THe majority of us want and we are THankful, VERY THankful for THe admins effort THat helps us TM refugees. We also welcome THe new members from "elsewhere"!

That reminds me of the Brecker Brothers. The picture is... this blaring while I'm pulling into the high school parking lot in a '54 Olds Super 88!!

RE: Favorite Cornet
Not a huge cornet collection, but of what I do have, my Conn 12A is my favorite. The 2 Conn 80As are also nice!

Present. Although I miss the UI/UX of Trumpet Master. I just liked the layout, organization, user interface, and general "look and feel" of TM. ***
- Trumpet Herald is a "dog's breakfast" of a site layout,*** even if it does have a lot of good content.
I saw that at TH and howled!!! I don't know how long you were at TM, but there were several incarnations of UI/UX and with each one there where improvements, BUT, there was also a learning curve. I remember when TM did away with Reputation points, affectionately called green chiclets. The like button replaced it and it worked better. The "Reppies" section also contained red chiclets which you could get from any one for any reason. That caused a lot of butthurt because to leave red chiclets, you had to say why!!! That resulted in a lot of cage match style posts!! It could be entertaining, but most of the time it was not. Anyway, I'm getting used to the differences here and a great, great improvement for me is the mobile app. I know the admin is working hard to make this better than what we had, I think he'll get there.

RE: Cannot upload pictures.
@Voltrane when you click the pic icon ^^ above next to the link and Zen mode icons, ![alt text](image url) is "image url" highlighted blue as if you were going to cut, paste. If it does, right click your mouse while the cursor is in the blue and the click paste. The pic should upload then.

RE: Schilke Club?
@Lawler-Bb I've looked for used Schilke horns and they are few and very far between. Their owners don't turn them loose often, and when they do, they are beyond my budget.

Archive Retrieval Procedure For TM
Since TM is still down for the count and might not come back, could a "sticky" be made on archival retrieval procedures? Someone posted on TH how to do it but I thought it would be a good idea if it was here since most of us are TM refugees and not everyone coming on board went to TH for a short vacation. There is a GOLD MINE of information there in pics alone! My IT skills are rudimentary at best. I can post videos now but I don't know if it is how others post videos!

All I can say so far is that this is one of the best mobile experiences I've had ever!
