    • RE: Louis Armstrong’s Trumpet

I have a Getzen SD that belonged to a personal friend of Louis. There are pictures of him playing it floating around but I can't seem to find them. The last guy to have them passed awhile ago... . I didn't want to intrude on his families grief looking for a picture, then I forgot about it. Would it add to the value of my horn?? Don't care really, it would just be a cool pic to have.

I like escalators, but my wife likes elevators. We were just raised differently!

I thought I saw a German sausage fly by my window, but it was only a seabird..... I think I've taken a tern for the wurst!

Air is needed to play trumpet - as I just found out when a spitball got stuck.

Next time visualize hitting the conductor on the nose and use a huge Phoooowwwwwww!!!

Two antennas got married. The ceremony was okay, but the reception was excellent!!!

I will say, I have never understood locking threads that aren't belligerent in nature. On other forums I'm on, I've found more info to add to MY post and found it locked. Why?

@Kehaulani Someone keeps blowing life into it and it's not a breath of fresh air!

Well, at least you need massive amounts of air moving through the trumpet to use spitballs.

Especially to reach the flute section!!!

I've never understood folks that think you can play without air. If one could, there would be no need for breathing exercises. Now I just need to buy an artificial electric drill tongue! Might be inefficient with all the new equipment I have to learn to use.

OK... Thanks for keeping me on track. Thank God I have only a one track mind... much easier to accomplish.

At least you can N gauge!

OH! (on a smaller scale and with dyslexia)

HO man, sorry to hear that.

Well, here's something I just completed. You might like this one, DrGO?

It's missing a ship on the horizon, right? Maybe you want to post THAT one for comparison, or maybe not if you don't give a ship.

      Here you go.4A534D09-A0F3-46D1-AFD0-126F9D631262.jpeg

Hmm, sorry, the ship wrecked it!

It’s ok. I can erase it. Or wait a half hour and it will be gone. On its way to Davey Jones's locker.

Hope it doesn't hurt any jellyfish!!

I had a great 4th also. There were more fireworks than ever thanks to the "bans" on public gatherings.

@BigDub WOW!!! That reminds me of the station I used to use when visiting my grandparents near Philly. We took the train all the way to 69th St.
