    • RE: Matt Brockman scam artist

that does it - I'm going to report this to the Better Business Bureau - all others are welcome to do the same - the more, the merrier

I sent a rather scathing review to the Better Business Bureau - will report any activity - God bless you all

    • RE: Vuvuzela

Ah yes - we served as missionaries in Honduras for 12 years and there is no sound quite like 40,000 people in the national stadium with what sounds like 40,001 vuvuzuelas on hand. I have a couple in our house and my granddaughters love making us jump when they give one a blast.

On a similar 'note', I have seen one single conch shell silence 40,000 people in that same stadium - ¡asombroso!

    • RE: How a dent affects trumpet sound.

Ya dents make the journey for air shorter, so sharpness occurs

    • RE: Doubling on tenor sax

I found that Alto was an easier switch I prefer the sound of Tenor but you can use your muscle memories with the first three fingers of the right hand on Alto with some early success - have fun!

    • RE: Matt Brockman: SCAM

It was my impression that the attitude not of a stern teacher, but rather that of a very pushy salesperson wanting my money more than to help me improve - even telling me to stop supporting my son so I could pay for lessons

    • RE: I feel your pain - I will review all the thread and tell you what I've learned

@thornybob pretty much my experience too - played trumpet HARD with a blues/rock/Steely Dan/Chicago band and I think I gave them my last efforts - ah well, off to Alto Sax - the right hand three fingers mimic trumpet quite well

    • RE: Back to Arbans and Others

@tjcombo right on! The cycle/circle is great for so many standard changes like the Blues, which so foundational to more complicated changes! I use it lots!

    • RE: Back to Arbans and Others

Hi! If younger people work in all keys, that will benefit them if later in life if they develop an interest in jazz improvisation - improvising creatively involves changing keys quickly and effectively
