    • RE: Lick from Gypsy

      @administrator I don't know much about what has happened here but the admins at TH that received my messages were quite rude to not even bother to answer.

      @Kehaulani
      I was banned from TH a long time ago for some reason that the lords of TH never had the courage to give an answer.

      @flugelgirl I appreciate your input. I have never seen alternate fingering directions marked this badly.

      @flugelgirl Thanks, that was what I figured that is what the arranger was trying to say but it is notated extremely poorly. whoever did it can't even spell properly.

      I agree that 1-3 is a better choice if that is the desired effect although using one valve could be faster and cleaner if one has good chop control.

      Have you played the show?

      Does anyone know what is meant here? I can guess at a couple of different possibilities but one I can't imagine is why anyone would want to hear two trumpets play a stuffy and flat unison G.

    • RE: Vintage Horn Eye Candy

      @Bob-Pixley Not mean to me Bob. I've played a couple. One was absolutely the best piccolo I had ever played at the time. It might still be. IT WAS OWNED BY A CIRCUS CLOWN. I asked if he would sell it but he said that it was part of his act so he couldn't. AAAARGHHHH!!!!!

      @flugelgirl That's pretty cool.

      If someone posts their H.N. White mini Liberty that would just be plain mean.

      @Niner The person I speak of his is a crook and I doubt that they will ever show up here. Unless this person is an anonymous user; I have never seen them on any forum that I have been on. If they wanted to take a shot at me they are welcome to try. I would like to make sure that they aren't ever able to steal from anyone ever again.

      This happened on Fleabay around 12 years ago. Now that I think of it there is another one from the Chattanooga area from about the same time period.

    • RE: Trusted Sellers

      I am constantly keeping an eye out for a certain person who is a reasonably well known trumpet player in NYC who I dealt with about 10 years ago. If that person ever shows up shows up here I will warn everyone about that particular person's dishonesty.

      @administrator said in Best Valves:

      Honestly, my Radial has the best valves. Those who know, know.

      I know what you mean although I like the Olds Recording, Mendez model, valves also. I mean the Olds with the offset valves.

      In other words, you don't have to know squat about academics in order to be a trumpet player.
