I did learn not to set a coffee mug down next to my water can……
That’s the strongest thing I drink!

Did another one already. This one from Maine, where the Pemaquid Lighthouse is located….I didn’t do the lighthouse. Yet.

Pulling cats' tails and coming up with the notes would also qualify as better than some I have agonized over.

I am so rewarded by his excellent work, as now, this portrait serves as providing the fondest memory of this lovely spirit, as I had to put Emily down today do to progressive deterioration from a stoke she had last April. Just to clarify, I never saw the dog. Alive, or in person. Ever. Just one snapshot from the friend who asked me to do it.
Fortunately for me, it was a good photograph, and what she wanted me to use. But thanks just the same, George. I always appreciate your kind words.

Look at a Monet and simultaneously listen to Prelude to the Afternoon of a Faun and you can intuit it.

I almost never paint without music ( my own very diverse ) playlist playing in the background. Not loud at all, just enough so I can hear it.
It would feel awkward to paint in silence.
Interesting about your instructor, too, Kehaulani. I think you mentioned it before, and I thought the same thing.
