RE: Cornet Vintage
@Gendreauj I use a Bach 6 .I really don't care if it's a student horn or not anymore because I am finding out that vintage student horns some were built better .Also I had a Wick 4 ?? Cornet m.p. but I think I gave it to someone as a gift.

RE: Cornet Vintage
@Gendreauj Thank you it really is a nice horn .I picked it up on eBay for $45.00 invested another $45 to straighten out the bell ...it looked like the player passed out and fell on the bell! I am curious is it a student horn because it is built pretty sturdy ? Thank you for any help Happy New Year ,Anthony

Martin Committee
Can anyone enlighten me about Martin Committee trumpets.I saw one selling for $7,000 after a mark down in price on Reverb. It looked a little worn but it's from 1957 .Is it that good a trumpet to be worth that amount ? Thank you Anthony & Merry Christmas

@J-Jericho I tune my trumpet to c and all the notes are correct

RE: How a dent affects trumpet sound.
@J-Jericho I wanted the dent removed but my tech guy told he said it may cause a hole.I told him to try anyway. When I went to pick up the trumpet he told me he had to put a patch because when he tried to remove the dent it caused a hole. So I figured it's too late to fix it now.

How a dent affects trumpet sound.
I have a trumpet that I use sometimes that has a crease or dent in the bend going towards the bell.So when I play it it plays sharp .It plays in tune when I pull the lead pipe out about almost an inch .I assume this is because of the dent .Anyone ever have this happen? Anthony

RE: Old vintage maintenance.Conn
@Jolter I never thought it was a good idea for one of the reasons you stated " that dust and dirt particles can accumulate to
the oil.I swab my lead pipe before putting my trumpet away too.Thank you for your reply Anthony -
RE: Old vintage maintenance.Conn
