I have no idea how I found this, but I really enjoyed it.

Anybody master the 1-3, 2-4 trill?
Anybody master the 1-3, 2-4 trill on a piccolo trumpet? This seems like the ultimate fingering challenge, although a complete waste because there are easier & better-sounding alternatives!

RE: Courtois Balanced Model...
All I know is you got one heck of a deal. Nakariakov plays Courtois. Doesn't seem to hold him back any, either.

RE: Getzen Tone Balanced Super Deluxe
I don't love every Getzen I have ever played / owned, but they are very consistent. I especially enjoy their cornets.

@Trumpetsplus said in Structure of the Trumpet by Yamaha:
@tmd Agreed!
You might find what Denis Wick said quite interesting
First of all, the teacher does what he does; he then tells the student what he thinks he does. The student then does what he thinks the teacher said. This definitely seems to be the case.
Also, I can see the news headlines now...

RE: King Liberty
Perhaps my definition of "peashooter" is more liberal than others'?
-
RE: King Liberty
Hmm, well I owned one once and it was bright as an Italian morning. Maybe I'm a little biased, or my definition of peashooter is off.

RE: King Liberty
They are fun, but seriously they are "peashooters." Don't take it to your concert band rehearsal unless you want to be dismissed!

RE: Killer Trumpet Players You've Never Heard of
Most pros are "in the trenches." Just ask yourself -- who plays 2nd trumpet in your nearest professional orchestra?

Ok, it's back. Now, let's all try to be friends! It's ok to post whatever your opinion is, let's just all try to be agreeable.

RE: Frustrated
So, I have never "owned" a forum before. It is an interesting, and, for the most part, rewarding experience. Overwhelmingly, I leave things as posted. I usually delete information that has many expletives, spam or nudity / pornography. I only deleted that thread because several people were arguing and I received probably 4 or 5 chats complaining about it.

RE: Frustrated
Also, I am the sole owner of the domain / site. So...that means I can literally do whatever I want with it and the content. Not trying to drive anybody away, just saying.

RE: Frustrated
I mean, I can restore the thread if that really is an issue. I just didn't have the time to sort through it all! Give me some time tonight or this weekend and I can get it back up.

RE: Frustrated
Well, none of us are "professional" moderators. We all have lives and stuff to do. That being said, if you are having problems you can send me a PM and I'll do the best I can to resolve the situation.

RE: Frustrated
What exactly are you frustrated with? The deleted thread about Yamaha? To be frank -- I deleted said thread because I received numerous complaints about numerous posts and did not really have the time to go through each post in depth. It was just a matter of efficiency for me. I'm sorry about that. I don't really want to delete things.
