@J-Jericho, wondering if Pavarotti's respect was based on music or The Mob 😝

      That's warped. And funny.

That Sinatra clip was way too good. Sinatra at his worst was still better than many artists. Time for something truly atrocious.

I bet the mic was never supposed to be hot...

          @jolter 😮 I blame the parents.
Seriously however, it feels uncomfortable watching someone who was may have been playing 3rd trumpet in her high school band. It feels like "kicking down" on a fellow player.

Either she's quite good or really bad. I think if she was actually bad, her timing would be off, but it wasn't. I'm guessing good, with a sense of humor. Regardless, this video is good therapy if you're feeling down.

Same thing 50 years later as my community band rehearses Sinatra! (Arrangement by Stephen Bulla) He remains da man.

I just read your post from 15 days ago a few minutes ago. I played that arrangement in a Community Band Concert less than two hours ago in Duxbury, Massachusetts. It’s a great arrangement!

Sounds to me like she was playing in too low a key. She could also use some help in her choreography. Obviously she likes to entertain. I give her a A for that.

Definitely out of the ordinary, but for some strange reason I really liked it. Perhaps it was those gorgeous twins...hmmm....

It would rather be his cousin Murat Belushi (Or is that Murat Blues?). I'm pretty sure I heard some Turkish spoken near the end there.

I liked it, my only gripes would be technical: The lipsyncing and the way they hard-panned the twins to left and right respectively made for a weird headphone listening experience.

OK so I just heard this and it fits too well in this theme not to post it.

Take your favorite classical tracks, play them with a heavy metal drum beat at 1.2 x the tempo. Instant album!

Why, oh why, did I continue listening till the end?
                                    But yet, I did.
There was a movie some years back where Meryl Streep played her.
It was NOT a smash hit, but of course Meryl Streep was very convincing.
I thought it was hilarious. And very good. I tried to share the trailer from YouTube but it didn’t seem to work this time.
The movie is called Florence Foster Jenkins if you want to search for it.
Meryl is not a singer, but she still sounds a little too good for the real woman! LOL

@bigdub The real Florence Foster Jenkins was so bad that they had to make the movie version a little less bad than real life to make the movie tolerable.

I liked it, too. I saw it the night it opened. They gave out souvenirs on opening night: old-timey fans like they used to use in theaters and churches before air conditioning. I still have mine lying around....
