I have acquired a nice old trumpet that I have been unable to find any info on so I am hoping that you all can help me with your collective knowledge.

The horn is a A K Huttl Graslitz trumpet, the bell engraving has Grand Prix, Buenos Aires. I have not been able to find anything in particular on the internet, maybe I just don't know how to look.

I will try to post some pictures soon.

      TIA,

@masterwannabe This is, for western standards, at best an intermediate trumpet. It looks like a Bb/C instrument. It is not "rare" or "valuable" in my view.

@rowuk Actually based on the markings on the 1st & 3rd slides and the fact that there is an 'A' marking on the main slide I think it is set up for 'A', 'Bb' and 'C'. I haven't tested it yet. I don't expect it to be worth a lot but do you have a ballpark $ figure ?

@masterwannabe Used trumpets are a buyers market - with very few exceptions. I would have no personal interest at all for me or my students. It would make a nice lamp - that is what I will do with my Monette Raja C when I retire from trumpet playing.

I don't think that I, personally, would spend more than $50 for it. It wouldn't fit into any ensemble.
