@J-Jericho we are definitely of the opposite opinion about tattoos. I have found the many that I’ve performed in to be painfully terrible experiences. Hours on my feet in horribly long rehearsals with conductors that treat you like the dumbest of high school kids, along with pipers and drum lines who never stop playing, even during hours long breaks - I can live without all that. I also despised every minute of marching drills. After my last year marching the Virginia International Tattoo, my knees were so swollen I could barely bend them and my chops were bruised from tripping because of my knees - fun times I’d love to forget!!

I used to own a Mt. Vernon ML 43. It was a nice trumpet, but I sold it.

Well, that’s the question, isn’t it? Personally, I’d say around 50 years old, but that’s probably a bit older than some would say. My oldest one was made in 1976, so it’s not there yet.
