We both have a tendency to be loquacious.

Beyond that: we are more like Supercalafragilisticexp-loquacious!

This is an amazing site, and your are doing a great job.
However, I believe I have your posted evidence that I would be Moderator of Medical Concerns; however, since no members have yet posted medical concerns (just my reports from medical studies) SINCE WE ARE ALL IN SUCH GOOD HEALTH, I guess there is nothing to moderate. But when that time does come, I hope I am worthy of anointment or Great One!

I will take all the help I can get!!!

When can we meet under the bridge in Spokane again, Dr. GO? My back's been bothering me...

...SINCE WE ARE ALL IN SUCH GOOD HEALTH... with the exception of that ONE problem patient....

You know, no offense, just an observation, but this Forum reads more like an expanded Lounge Forum. Will there be any discussions of music and trumpet techniques or just pretty gear photos and jokes? It's O.K. if most want to just chew the fat but I wonder if I should just move on? I miss rowuk and a few other posters. Again, no offense intended, just wondering if the forum is going to stay petty much to non-musical/trumpet (non-pertinent-gear) topics.
-
Kehaulani makes a perfectly good point. I'm hoping that as TB moves forward that there will indeed be many discussions on music and trumpet techniques. We have many members here who have the ability to discuss and offer help on such matters.
-
I can't do much about that, but I completely agree. I would love to see some serious topics. Please invite your friends from TM and TH to join TB and post good stuff.
-
@Kehaulani : I absolutely second your thoughts, and I think there is a reason for things being the way they are: most of the more interesting discussions on TM were started by someone looking for help or guidance or having doubts about something, and we don't have a lot of those posts yet. The site doesn't rank very high (= on the 1st page) if you type "trumpet help forum" on Google, so we have to stick around and wait a bit until the questions looking for recommendations on mouthpieces with built-in double Cs start falling.
Btw, I remember from TM that your Shew is a recent acquisition: how do you like it? (I've been playing mine for 2 years now) -
It also goes without saying that we lost all the hits from people following links for "help identify X trumpet" - we need to keep talking shop, maybe forcing some content build, like starting posts with the sole purpose of feeding the right keywords to Google bots... e.g. is the Olds Ambassador the best trumpet ever made?

Actually, my favourite horn is a Connstellation followed by a Benge, but the Shew is much lighter, especially when contrasted with my first choice. But the Shew is very easy to play, versatile and very light, which is paramount for me. In many ways, it's Committee like, just not quite as loose slotting. I'm very happy with the combination of the Shew and a Bush W2 mouthpiece.
