I once bought an Olds Recording sight unseen from Baltimore Brass. Or rather, I'd seen pictures but not played it. Got it just as described and the price was right. So, in summary, recommended.

1 other shop that I’ve viewed often, but never purchased from is Schmitt Music’s Trumpet Shop. Anyone have experience with them?

Never bought an instrument from them but got great service when I needed a cheap double case in Minneapolis on short notice. They sold me an old Yamaha double they used to transport horns to trade shows etc. Great value and excellent communications by email with Mark Bobnick (mind you, this was in 2014). Can you believe they only charged me $25 for the case?

I’ve always had great experiences with Dillon music. I got my Kanstul and my main Jupiter case from them.

Recommended another brand over their house brand-was looking for a budget price professional-ish horn.

@Trumpetsplus I bought a Jaeger Studio Bb from Ivan based solely on his presence and wonderful postings on Trumpetmaster. I am glad I did. It is the only brand new horn I have owned. I love it.

I’m surprised JoshLandress isn’t on this list yet - besides being a great tech he sells a lot of nice horns. He’s a super nice person, too! I’ve bought horns from him,sold with him, and was a repair client when I was on the East Coast. I’ll throw in another vote for Trent Austin as well, who is one of my favorite people, and i’ve Had good experience with Dillon Music as well. There’s still some nice small business choices out there!
