Top 50 Jazz Trumpeters of all time?

Top 10 is somewhat predictable but I find any top 50 list of Jazz Trumpeters that does not include Bunny Berigan as suspect..............

Would Doc Severinsen qualify? What about Jon Faddis? James Morrison? Conte and Pete Candoli? Maybe Lew Soloff? How about Billy Butterfield and Ruby Braff?

From the link, concerning Roy Hargrove: "On the recording front, Hargrove has been quiet in recent years but he remains a formable player." I'm not sure what a "formable player" is, but there's a reason he's been quiet lately.

It looks to be a "googled" cut & paste article with some videos put in for show. Doc not on the list? HAHAHA! Formable... , I just chuckled. The "writer" also doesn't know writing, let alone jazz. Erik Truffaz????? One modest run and a host of clams doesn't make one a jazz player. Oh wait, it's "avant garde" so I don't get it so I've been told.
Arve Henriksen top 50? Must be "avant garde" too. Oh well, I guess Doc didn't/doesn't play the right kind of jazz. Maybe if he'd been taught better in his formable years, he'd been a more formidable jazz force.

I think these lists should be looked on as entertainment, not musicologically sound evaluations, and am a little surprised when they are taken seriously. Actually, I was introduced to two players I had not know but who are deserving of further investigation by me, Erik Truffaz and Arve Henriksen, both of whom wouldn't be on the list if Doc and others were listed.

Surveys like this have some value, i.e. I was introduced to two very nice players,

These are huge omissions. I know of two others that will never make the list as many do not respect their originality or music, but I would include Herb Alpert and Chris Botti as well. AND technically proficient above the all (albeit not as prolific in the commercial productivity world) there is also Alan Vizzutti.

AND just imagine the how much of a giant Roy Hargrove would have become if not for his untimely end on this spiritual plane.

@Dr-GO I thought of including Herb Alpert and especially Chris Botti because of his past Bebop chops in the past, but both these guys made it big in Pop, rather than Jazz, so I didn't include their names in my post.

Perhaps Roy Hargrove is trading fours with Gabriel these days.
