        The most powerful message, also emphasized to me by my teacher Claudio Roditi:

        Sing, that's the most important thing. The trumpet is more than an instrument, it is an extension of my voice, so I can explain myself through the instrument. Think about melody's.

          I got the same message from my teacher, and that was 70 years ago. The fact is, I have always done a quick run-through singing the piece I am about to play in my head. I did it back then and I do it today.
