Sorry, no prize, but wondering if anybody makes late 40's Olds trumpet valve guide bars ( for double slot piston barrels)
Also, does anyone know the rod thread size used on mid 60's Conn Constellations.
Thank you for all your help

      G.

I have made the bar from ABS but I think the nylon ones are available from Allied Supply - check with your local tech. Don't get many Connstellations in, but I would guess either 4-40 or 5-40.

If you’re talking about the brass bar guides, they are fairly easy to replicate. Your local tech should be able to do it. I made one a while ago for one of our horns at work out of some brass stock, and it didn’t take long with proper measurements, thankfully the other guides were intact so I could use them to measure from!

          Daily players: Adams A1, A4LT, F2 flugel , CN1 cornet.

Thank you to both of you,
I tried Bach nuts on the Conn and they are too small...I suspect size 6 something.
I like tinkering with stuff and have square 1/8' brass stock. I'll see if I'm patient enough to make a few guide bars from that..but ABS sounds easier to work with, worth looking into.
            Thank's again

I can tell, the 2 little slots will be the tricky part to do correctly...patience grasshopper

@tptguy One of Conn's preferred threads was 6-40
