I was sort of partial to the old format.
Although I realize it's difficult to get used to something new.
      Anyone have any thoughts.

Yeah, lots of folks are/were members of TrumpetMaster, but this a completely new "thing" with a new owner. I don't see a reason to make it like TrumpetMaster (I like a clean slate once in a while), but it will have a learning curve for sure.

I liked it because I was used to it in 2009. Then they changed it a few years later. Many were upset because they had to figure things out all over again, I didn't like it either, but moved on. Doggone they did it again. I fumed, "If it ain't broke, don't fix it". Well some of it was broke (but I didn't use those functions, so didn't care), so a whole update was warranted. Each time it got better and better. It still had quirks, but it was much better. THe alternative is to be stuck in a format THat hasn't changed since it's inception. THat is not THe way I THink a forum should be run. THe admin has already made some improvements and processes are easier. GrowTH pains? Sure. But THe alternative is not what I THink THe majority of us want and we are THankful, VERY THankful for THe admins effort THat helps us TM refugees. We also welcome THe new members from "elsewhere"!

I understand there is some lingering sentimentality with TM. However, I am not the owner of that site, nor am I attempting to reproduce it. I simply saw an opportunity to fill a gap. As far as objective design standards go, this site is 10x better than TM and 100x better than TH.

Its nice you are staying humble;) I know its true though. I am still a big fan of email groups (lists)

FB ruined those. So i hopped to forums. FB IS ruining those.

It's definitely going to take some getting used to - the format is significantly different than most forums I have been a part of - but that's ok. It's intuitive enough that we should be able to make the transition easily enough.

This format certainly has some interesting new options. I kinda like it. Just wish we could get the base of people joining growing a little quicker. This has the potential to be great!

To my knowledge, you click on the little ^ next to where it says "Quote" - that's an upvote of the post.

Getting used to the format, now that I have traveled around the site i am
liking it a lot better than I first thought I would.
Haven't spent time to learn how to upload any photos yet
                                      but I'll figure it out.
