My collection is unchanged, non sold, I still own them. My history will be chronological and the reason for their purchase:
Olds Ambassador - Bought by my parents when I decided to join my public school band program
Olds Recording (Fullerton Manufacture) - Bought by my parents as I continued public school experience into high schoolGetzen 4 valve Eterna Flugelhorn - Self Purchased for a college rock band inspired by Rick Braun
Many years then pass until I become a TrumpetMasters member and was intrigued by attending a Trumpet Hang with another TM member at which time I played and fell in love with these horns:
Martin Committee - Now my main small group horn
Kenstul 4 valve 1526 - Now my main flugelhorn for both small group and big bandThen by concern of my horns being confiscated by security I purchased it assuming I could afford loosing it:
Allora Pocket Trumpet - Was confiscated 3x by Saudi Airport security, and got it returned each time after pleading with Saudi security supervisors.
Then my impulse buying spree "got to have it" due to discussions by TM Members identified in convincing me I had to have this horn:
Olds Super Recording - ANA Mandez and was my main big band horn until I experienced the Getzen Power Bore
Getzen Power Bore - Cyber_Shake and became my main big band horn until my Harrelson arrived 4 years after placing that orderOlds Recording (LA Manufacture) - Sounds7 to help support a cause requiring him to sell off instruments
Harrelson Summit - Sounds7 and Now my main big band horn -

Used student-level cornet (again, name unknown). Jr. High.

Chrome-plated POS TSO - "I'm playing the trumpet!" traded in on:
Selmer Signet Special cornet - Small-bore intermediate-level instrument traded in on:
Bach Stradivarius Model 37 - Magic early Elkhart I foolishly sold
Rexcraft bugle - Just for fun; used a lot of Brasso on it; donated it
Benge Claude Gordon - Fabulous trumpet that was stolen from me and never recovered
Shofar - Received as gift; small end far from optimal, but I play it anyway
Olds Opera - Sold it because I couldn't match a mouthpiece to it (today would be different)
Olds Ambassador trumpet - Good condition, a mediocre player; sold it
Olds Ambassador trumpet - Average condition, a poor player, I disassembled it for unfinished Frankenhorn project
Bach Stradivarius Model 72* - A demanding horn that delivered results, eventually sold - no regrets
Olds L-12 flugelhorn - Decent horn sold when replaced by:
Yamaha YFH-731 flugelhorn - Great sound, best intonation of any horn I've ever played
Rotary valve flugelhorn - I don't recall the German manufacturer; sold it because I couldn't match a mouthpiece to it (today would be different)

Selmer Bundy trombone - Surprisingly good horn replaced by:
Olds Studio trombone - Decent horn prompted by my Studio trumpet (we're a bit out of sequence here)
Olds Recording trumpet - Very nice horn, valve ergonomics not for me; sold it
Olds Super trumpet - Generic sound, marginal intonation; sold it
Marceau trombone - Art Deco period TSO (Trombone Shaped Object); sold it
Dillon pocket trumpet - Good for travel
Olds Studio trumpet - Best trumpet ever (for me)
Olds Special trumpet - Underrated horn
York Perfec-Tone cornet - Aptly named, unlikely to be replaced -

@adc Giving away instruments to deserving talents is a good idea. I recently donated a Besson Stratford trumpet, a King Tempo cornet and a Conn Director to a school orchestra in Bulgaria, together with a heap of mouthpieces. Since then, I am swamped with videos of the kids practising enthusiastically; and the orchestra is now much in demand by the civic authorities to give athmosphere to official functions...
Heavens, that's three instruments I forgot to list!!

@j-jericho There were three separate incidents. One, the Bach Strad C, was borrowed by a friend who needed it for a musical performance in Munich's Gärtnerplatztheater - his own C was a Ganter rotary, and you can't bring rotaries for Oklahoma. He had the Strad in the canteen, went to where clarinet player get their best notes from, and when he returned, the case wasn't there. Theatre insurance paid up and thus financed the Strad rotary which with most of the other instrument was stolen in one haul when our house in Ireland was burgled and stripped of almost all the contents. The miscreants even broke open the oil tank and stole our heating oil!
And the Votruba Profi was loaded into a van with all the other band instruments for a gig on a mountain top in Croatia, but the van never arrived there. Seems the original driver of the local van and a few cronies of his had pre-planned the coup. At any rate, we arrived at that mountain resort by cable car und were unable to play because we did not have a single instrument... -
@barliman2001 The trumpet bomb must be a good story.

@curlydoc I'll hunt out the newspaper...
