More in depth, more models covered - and most importantly more in focus (the last video had terrible auto focusing issues)

Note - I am uploading an update to the video posted yesterday with some more detailed numbers and without the annoying auto-focus from the camera zooming in and out on the Indiana case in the background.

RE: Schilke Club?
Has anyone every tried the Sterling Silver Bells?
I picked up a B1 Sterling silver bell in a trade recently and wondering what kind of sound profile I might expect?
(This will be going on a Heritage horn project in the coming month(s) -

Good luck finding a flugel piece. It took me years to find the one I have and I haven’t seen any (real ones) since.
Yes, these are really hard to find. I should have kept the 1-2 I had.
I have Art Farmer's back up piece (artists were only allowed one of a piece at time apparently) in my stash and it's an amazing piece. The piece I have isn’t marked with any number/designation that Al used. I had his son Steve check it out...and he is fairly certain that it was an early prototype of the Art Farmer piece.
I did some research on my old collection via the wayback machine and found some old links on the collection I used to have. I think at it's peak I had close to 25-30 pieces. The link is to the Art Farmer flugel model. From memory there were 2 pieces in that box (not unlike the Dizzy Trumpet mouthpiece - there were two of those also)

RE: WTB Al Cass mouthpiece
Hello,
I actually have several for sale currently.
Unfortunately my website doesn't have an auto option to calculate postage rates - but I would be happy to give you a manual quote.
https://thebrasscellar.com/accessories/mouthpieces/The 4 series are extremely hard to find these days.
I have a 4S-1 C version one that has a slightly shorter shank in raw brass that's near new.
Reach out and we can talk -
RE: Martin Band Instruments (Non-Committee) Club
Oh, if anyone is interested - I started a bit of a YouTube channel to highlight some of the less known Martin Horns (and others vintage horns I have access too of course).
(Still working on getting the sound recordings right - but it's a start)
You can check all the videos out here:

RE: BC Heritage Line - BC4 'Levina' Custom Bb Trumpet
@djeffers78 I have at least one, maybe two cornets in mind as I have a Lawler C7 Cornet Bell (NOS) and a Committee Bell.

RE: Is this the World's Brightest Trumpet?
I had to give this a go on one of my older horns also.
If noise control arrives later to shut me down I'm blaming Trent........ -
RE: Martin Committee Club
Just going to put this out there as it seems an appropriate thread to do so - but if anyone would like any help with Martin horns feel free to drop me a PM or hit me up on the contact page via my website
I've had 3-4 people this week take advantage of this. There is no charge for me taking a look at your horns etc. and telling you what you have. (There have been some real interesting horns turn up already since I launched my Martin Database)
In addition - I've had several people contact me wanting to sell horns, or find buyers. Send me your wish list(s)
(If it's a Large Bore Handcraft Committee you'll need to get in a long line and have minimum 5 digits top drop on one).To keep things on theme - here's a shot of my personal Deluxe Committee C Trumpet

I had a little look see. I thought it was very informative and the pics are superb. Never owned a Martin but have played a few Committees.
Thanks for checking it out. The pictures have been collated over many years of horns I have owned and played. I would say I maybe 40% left - with more to come.

RE: Martin Band Instruments (Non-Committee) Club
@adc Nice of you to gift your horn to the next generation. I am trying to save as many as I can through education and restoration so that they may go on much longer.
The Superlative cornet is one model that I have yet to get my hands on. -
RE: Martin Band Instruments (Non-Committee) Club
Hi everyone. I wasn;t sure whether to post this in the Committee Thread - or this one as it could have sat in either. Anyhow - I just made live my Martin Database (more of a visual database) - but it contains the collected information and photographs from many horns I have has/have over the past 10 years as well as some marketing materials, specs etc.
I would encourage you to check it out and let me know what you think. -
RE: Martin Committee Club
If anyone is looking to add to their collection - I know a seller with multiple examples of Handcraft Committees/Committees looking to sell. (Not me, I tend to hoard most of mine ).

RE: Schilke Club?
@Lawler-Bb Yeah, that's what I don't get. They are well regarded, play excellent and have good reliability. I had a fantastic early B2 that I should have held onto. I only sold it as it played too well in tune (yep, that's a thing). Same could also apply to the early Schilke mouthpieces - you don't see those going for crazy money yet either.
-
RE: TrumpetMaster Format
This format certainly has some interesting new options. I kinda like it. Just wish we could get the base of people joining growing a little quicker. This has the potential to be great!
-
RE: Favorite Cornet
This is the one I am playing the most. It's a 60's Large Bore Magna model. -
RE: Schilke Club?
Also played several Schilkes. My personal preference are the early serial numbers. I am genuinely surprised they don't command better prices in the secondary market.
-
RE: Another hunk of metal goes for too much on the good 'ol SGW!
Hold up - it's Serial #47. That's gotta be it....right??
