RE: How about a forum for Curio and Relic horns?
Somehow i missed it back in the day too. The Youtube one is the first time i saw it. Corny, but GREAT at the same time. I loved the band scene with Weller and the pocket trumpet too.

RE: Kanstul -- Any News?
If they were to outsource to Asia, and import and sell from California, it kind of defeats the purpose. I figure the kids just are no into the business like their dad was. Not meant as an insult, or bad talk, its Just a guess, but it happens quite often.

I can't believe no one ripped me for watching such a cheesy movie;)

RE: Schenkalaars Trumpet
These are sweet horns. And TANKS! Might be tougher than the Olds student horns of the day. I have one in raw brass.

RE: How about a forum for Curio and Relic horns?
Was watching "The Adventure's of Buckaroo Banzai on YouTube yesterday. ( i was a bit stressed and wanted to clear my head) A young Peter Weller played a solo on a pocket trumpet around the 19 minute mark. I remember reading he actually plays. Rather than a list of actors who play, how many played in a movie?

i started picking up old trumpets a few years ago, just being amazed at all the different types and designs. Most aren't famous;) I still love to line them up and see the differences, as well as the similarities.

RE: Best ebay description I have seen in a long time!
About a year ago, on the other site, someone had posted a video about a trumpet brand that started with the letter A Antosia? Or similar. It was basically a G Bugel. I ALMOST bought one. Still might some day. About $1600 in Lacquer and Gold was an option on IT for only a little more. Nothing wrong with this for what it is, i bet it plays well enough, but if i were to want st spend money on a gold horn, it would not be this one;)

I bet the $79 trumpets play better.
