This horn also came with a Jet Tone mouthpiece in decent condition. Always wanted to try one, but like i figured, a 6A4A is very similar. Size is a 1A. Haven't done any research on them yet in regards to sizes.

Only the straight through airflow comes from the Pinto design. They are a professional horn in every way. I already have 2, so i will probably sell it later. Should be able to make a couple hundred on it, AND still get to play it awhile;)

One pet peeve i have with horns that have sat with dirty valves, are the black circle marks on the valves from the ports. Regular cleaning never makes them pretty. They work fine, but i like them pretty too;) Just soaked the valve bodies in ketchup and that seems to have done the trick.

Certainly attitudes got worse after they became federalized.

    • RE: 1953 Conn 80A Cornet

Most seem easier if you insert the spring in the bottom cap, thread on, THEN put the valve in. After 20-30, done the hard way, i figured that out;)

    • RE: Sleep Faster

You actually still GET painkillers? Lots of people sent home with Advil now. I realize Opiates were way over prescribed, but shutting them down completely is overkill. When kids can no longer get pain pills, or beer or cigarettes, they turn to crazy stuff like bath salts.

I solder electrical components daily. So i now know just enough about brass soldering to be dangerous. I would like to learn more from any who have gotten better at it than myself as well.

I googled free photos of trumpet players and didn't recognize any on the first page. Maybe WE could submit our own pics? I will pose wearing my Captain Kirk Yellow shirt;)

    • RE: Game of Thrones Thread

Honestly? From a fair but not rabid fan? I started watching around season 3. Caught up quickly. It ended a couple of episodes ago. Only recently ( this season) had the Dragon Queen stated to go off the deep end, it seemed rushed. It was kind of predictable in the embrace. I had my doubts as to who killed who, but i knew one died. I would certainly not place it in finale royalty, but similar to oh, say, Moonlighting. The great battle had been won. The other was easy. Everyone but the "other" Queen knew it.
