If you buy a Torpedo Bag, you can get the mouthpiece holders laced into the strap:
Here is the link to this product:

Why didn't I think of that. Think of all the money I'd save, -

@kehaulani I'm the guy who bought your B7. It's my fav' horn.
I will try out a few Adams models.Off-topic: I should've just held on to it. Would've saved me a lot of money and a lot of aggravation.

RE: Schilke 1041 FLC
I currently own an Adams F1 Flugelhorn and I think it's fantastic. I would definitely go visit ACB since you're pretty close to begin with.
Second he motion on Adams F-1. I've got one. With the right mouthpiece, you can get a classic Qouesnon sound,

RE: Difference between trumpet and cornet
That cornets and trumpets can sound the same doesn't change the general characteristics.
A trumpet is brighter and more direct.
A cornet is broader and more subtle. Can you play them in reverse? Yes But just because you can doesn't mean that no inherent difference exists.

RE: Difference between trumpet and cornet
Does it matter? Fact is, there are trumpets made with cornet characteristics and cornets with trumpet characteristics, Same for mouthpieces. Do you want a characteristic sound, get a horn and ,mouthpiece combination that produces that.

RE: Cannonball Trumpets ???
Isn't it Cannonball that has the stones on finger buttons that are supposed to have mystical powers? And don't they engrave the Mormon beehive on their products? I don't care how good they were if these were true, they wouldn't be at the top of my list.

RE: Amadeus Cafe
I've got a Flintstones story,
I was going from one main venue to anther to see Joe Henderson at the New Orleans Jazz Festival, when I passed a little kiosk with a young band playing their a**es off. Small group of listeners. The band was playing the tune Flintstones.I told the girl I was with, "Hear those folks? The music business is so tough, you may never hear from them again. But the are world class."
After the gig, I talked to them for a while. Real nice guys. Turned out to be Wynton ane Branford Marsalis!

@rowuk Dear Robin, if you look closely, you will find that in all cases of locked threads, these were inactive for more than three years -
Barlian, that's all you had to say . . but you didn't. Might clarify 0things in the future.
Robin, there are only a handful of people who are regular here. Who cares.

RE: Can anybody identify this Conn? Thanks
It's marked a Conn use 22b. Why do think it's not?

RE: James Morrison Trumpet Tutorial Series
Well, I'm confused because I could swear, I've also heard from credible sources that it's not air speed that gets you playing high, ref. you can play very high, very softly. What am I missing?
In my case, I can play higher by playing softer. It's harder to play the same high note at blastissimo.

RE: AR Resonance Mouthpieces
Ref, Jet Tones, there re the originals, then the Ratzenberger "originals", then the more modern ones.
Going backwards, the modern ones, as stated, are not like the originals. The Ratzenbergers, which are sought after, are actually not true "originals". Ratzenberger was a night club guy who was part owner in Jet Tone. The other guy was the true designer and after he broke up with Ratzenberger, Ratzenberger did a half-assed job with subsequent Jet Tones.
Legend Mouthpieces offer "original;" original Jet Tone replicas (unless you, like the good Dr. get one custom made).
p.s. George, do you use yours for combo playing or just for lead?

RE: How many is too many?
As an alcoholic I may suggest perhaps you need to trade your horns for more Cutty Sark?
