I heard this interview by Jens Lindemann of Arturo Sandoval previously but on revisiting it, heard some really serious and personal advice. It's only about fifteen minutes and well worth the time.

Everybody go back and read his posts and pay attention to the language. It's an attempt at subtlety but it's not really subtle. Just manipulative.

You are 100 correct. I got this thread mixed up with another and I'm truly sorry for the agrivation and time spent. I've been communicating with a friend most of the day who is giving up on living and my mind's just in the wrong place. Again, sorry.

I would think that, according to screen Guild policies, she is in an acting role in which she sings. I'm sure that she was being represented as an actress.

Douglas was, obviously, being represented by the Screen Actors Guild which, as has been shown, couldn't care less that a musician was being accurately portrayed.

Well, what criteria was given for "preferred answers"? All I read is: "Name these bands".

Yes but in getting a kid going on the Blues, all you have to give them is a play-along backing, show them what a lick is, and teach them the form and the Blues Scale and turn them loose. The ear comes along but armed with what I just said, they can begin playing right away.

There are musical bands named The Triangles, The Doodle Bugs and Fox.
