RE: Trumpet Springs
A quick internet search came up with:
Dawkes https://www.dawkes.co.uk/spare-parts/trumpet (with whom you already have experience)
Thomann https://www.thomann.de/gb/replacement_parts_for_brass_wind_instruments.html
East Coast Instruments https://www.eastcoastinstruments.com/shop/index.php?route=product/search&search=trumpet valve springs (with whom I have no experience)
Although the cost of custom springs may be high, you might contact https://www.airedalesprings.co.uk/springs/compression-springs/ .
Getting in touch with these companies may result in success or at least point you toward other suppliers.
Clipping springs, while lowering the height, increases spring rate, rather than reducing it http://kbdelta.com/blog/spring-rate-what-and-how-calculated/ .

RE: Bots are getting scary
@jolter How encouraging. People's reputations, health, and lives are at the mercy of junk programming. So how can this problem be overcome? Can it be overcome, or will it be a cyber-endemic disease?

@SSmith1226 Xcaret website calls it Asian cuisine. Xin Gao is Chinese. The Mexican pronunciation means a dance YouTuber Sydney Watson recently referred to as "the horizontal Monster Mash".

RE: Buddha Belly Mute Co. - Just launched!
@bobmiller1969 Interesting designs. Your approach to creating these mutes is admirable. Please let us know when your videos become available. BTW - what material(s) do you use to make them? Bamboo?

A giant passes away: R.I.P. McCoy Tyner
He was piano #1 IMO. http://www.bluenote.com/mccoy-tyner-1938-2020/ I had the good fortune to attend a concert of his perhaps ten years ago. Superlatives are inadequate to describe his playing.

@ButchA Methinks you're not a stranger to electric guitar. World class licks there, my friend!

RE: Artist on BOARD
@BigDub said in Artist on BOARD:
A commission I am working on, it may be done. The paint isn’t even quite dry yet, and acrylics dry pretty fast!
I can almost see the dog panting.

Random? Possibly. Meaningless? No.
