I don't know, it seems it would be hard to fly one while you practice.

RE: Is a $280 New Bach Stradivarius Trumpet too good to be true?
The day they make carbon fiber printers is the day in which I will believe that pigs fly

Whoa. That is insanely pricey.

This board is ONLY for legitimate cases!
Please, do not post "lost dog" or anything silly like that, here. This is for instruments/items that have been lost or stolen. If you are fortunate enough to have the item returned to you, please close/delete the thread.
Also, please file a police report as soon as possible. That is the most important part of returning stolen goods to their rightful owner.
Also, this board isn't for stolen cars, computers, etc. Those are serious cases, I recognize, but they have nothing to do with the subject of this forum. Other types of musical instruments are acceptable.

RE: Unique horn stolen. BOLO....
Terrible. In fact, I am starting a STOLEN sub-forum as we speak. Please do NOT post anything other than legitimate cases.

@N1684T Around $400.00
Sounds like a good investment. I have heard of 3D "metal" printers -- does that actually exist?

Yes, there are many variations on abstract painting which succeed as art and not as garbage, but like any artistic endeavor, there is a whole range of competence and lack thereof. One would not look at abstraction, however slight, and declare it to be photographic, but to be offended at such a compliment reveals a lack of character and ability IMO. A lot of art consists of sycophants stroking fragile egos over what, from any rational perspective, is crap, not art.
To a great extent I agree with you. I go back and forth with what the world has accepted as Art today. A cleaning person collected one display and threw it in the trash, quite innocently too. This cleaning person was the only honest person employed by the museum. Everyone else pretended it was art.
A huge rock is on display in some museum in LA.
Not doin' it for me.Rock, museum, LA. I get it.

trying to downsize these images with photoshop. let's see if this helps.
now, if you would like to look at a time-lapse video of most of my work on this painting, go to my facebook page, @Wayne R Mathisen and use the sound, too.
I will try to improve the quality and filming of these as this is my first one.
Where is this? I think I recognize it.

RE: Free lancer interview. Interesting thouhts.
That's cool. Definitely not the life for me. I thrive on stability and routine. Sound like a pro musician? I didn't think so!
But, all props to her for making it work.

Very nice. I love it. I have some awesome photographs you might like to paint!

Only read the title: YES.

RE: Purchased Olds Super.. cracked bell rim, no ring when flicked
Not even sure what the "ping" means. Seems unnecessary to me. If the horn plays great, that's what matters, right?

RE: Best Valves
Honestly, my Radial has the best valves. Those who know, know.

RE: Trumpets Made ONLY by Their Maker
Harrelson certainly qualifies as a trumpet maker who "does it all." That might explain why it takes so long to complete his horns. I'm not necessarily into how they play, but they are 100% custom. Same with Monette.

RE: RIP Trumpet "Master"
Agreed. Also, this is a new forum. If you had a beef with users on a previous forum, you have the right to remain silent!
