Yeah, I suppose it would. Don't feel like moving it

@administrator you know a band is really successful when it's tribute bands become an industry. We have two such acts in Australia - BABBA and Bjorn Again (great name!). The latter has become a franchise with several iterations touring in better times. Both put on a great show, sending up themselves and the wonderful silliness of tribute bands.
That makes me think of the entire industry of Elvis impersonators in Las Vegas.

I apologize in advance if this post should have been placed under âPedagogyâ, perhaps under âJames Stampâ or âMedical Concernsâ subcategory âHerniasâ. I was going through some files I had saved 2 years ago and found this one. I donât recall where it came from. It could have been from TM or some other site. Never the less, I thought that the lessons that could be learned were so worthwhile that it should be resurrected in spite of the hernia risk.
This is great. Would you start a new thread with this? Haha...lounge of course.

RE: Cornet blog
I played in a British-style Brass Band for a couple of years. Our principal cornet was even a Brit, so that makes it somewhat legit, right?
Here's an interesting fact I learned. Here in Utah, there used to a plethora of brass bands. In the 19th century, many Mormon emigrants came from Europe to the "Deseret Territory" (now Utah), and settled north, west, east and south. One of the cultural traditions they brought with them was the brass band. I understand it was more of a tradition across the country in those days anyway, seeing as brass bands were an important part of morale-boosting in the Civil War.
Here is a photo of a ladies' band. Pretty neat. No such thing exists now. We still have the Tabernacle Choir, but only one brass band remains in the state, and that was started by a modern-day, British emigrant. Kind of sad to see that this tradition no longer exists.

I use to be on TM but got fed up with a jerk named rowuk. What good is quality information when it's served on a shit sandwich. No one likes being belittled or being made to feel stupid regardless of the pearls of wisdom offered up.
Dr.MarkHe's here too, actually, and I would welcome his input.

RE: Travel Trumpet
I remember being VERY impressed with CarolBrass pocket trumpets. They played very similar to a full-size Bb and were not squirrely at all. I recommend CarolBrass, they are a great value and quality instruments.

Well duh!! It's a 2B and they're scarce anyway. The guy next to me plays his and it sounds great. He's 93 and the original owner! Give yourself a Christmas present for doing such a great job with TB!!!
Ha! Thanks. I think I will go for it.

RE: Schilke 1041 FLC
Welcome back. I have no experience with Schilke flugelhorns, but I currently own an Adams F1 Flugelhorn and I think it's fantastic. I would definitely go visit ACB since you're pretty close to begin with.

Geez!! My 1400sqft ranch is worth $350k now - give it a Seattle zip and it would go for around $700k. The most expensive home for sale in my hometown in ME is listed for $100k, and is overpriced in that area. Itâs a 6 bed Victorian with an apartment over the carriage house and a guest cottage. We could buy that house and never have to work again, and be bored out of our minds for the rest of our lives. Weâll happily stick with what weâve got!
I know, where the jobs are not, there the houses are big and cheap!

Print is still too light. Is there a way to darken it?
Yes, I will need to edit the styles. It may be a few days.

Seeking input on Rules
Since many people have been upset by recent threads (one of which I started), I am seeking input on rules / rule changes to make it more clear what we want on this site.
Please offer your (well-thought) input.
