@flugelgirl I've had a B&S for several years now, and love it. Challenger II silver model.

I have heard good things about these trumpets and liked the ones I've had the opportunity to play.

We got a bunch of B&S and Schertzer last year and they’ve all been wonderful! We still have a limited amount of B&S left - Challenger II Bb and C, and Exquisite Eb. They’ve all been perfect right out of the box.

          Daily players: Adams A1, A4LT, F2 flugel , CN1 cornet.
          Schagerl Raweni
Puje 3am(named for me), Benge pocket
          Schilke P5-4, C5L
          Yamaha 761 Eb/D
          Lots of vintage toys

I've owned 2 Scherzer 8111 Bb/A Piccolo trumpets and they are my absolute favorite trumpet. I'd like to purchase another one eventually.

Won the bid for the Getzen Canadian Brass trumpet. Cost for trumpet was $530.00 dollars. Including shipping and taxes was $588.00 dollars. Sent an email to Mary Rima at Getzen asking what year the trumpet was made. Also any information on this model and what current model it is most like. Wondering which of my mouthpieces work best for that trumpet.

I hope you don't take this defensively gendreauj, but why buy a trumpet and then ask those questions? Inquiring minds want to know. 😁

Kehaulani. Good question. Before I bid, would have been logically to ask for opinions. When I am interested in trumpets I am very impulsive. If someone else outbid me, input from others may have determined if I rebid. My limit was $550.00 on this trumpet. Bought it for $530.00.
Since I wasn't able to play it before hand, I unscientifically based it on my experience with other Getzen models. Have been very happy with Getzen trumpets and cornets. If I like it great, if not I will flip it. Just a naturally curious person.

Thanks, just wondering. The urge got the better of you eh, LOL? I think we've all been there.

I pulled the trigger on an Eterna Classic lacquered. Wrote Getzen just after I ordered it but when the answer came back it was too late for me to renege. Amazingly, I love it and it is now my go-to trumpet.

Exactly. I haven't been disappointed with any of the Getzens horns I have owed. The Getzen Renaissance trumpet is so easy to play. Still not sure if it is me, trumpet or having a new teacher.

I got a Getzen 800 Cornet once for $500. Best horn for $500, bar none.

Great deal. Love my 800 Eterna cornet. Bought it last September for $611.00

Waiting on a Getzen Canadian Brass trumpet I bought on ebay.

Decided to sell the Getzen Renaissance trumpet and keep the new trumpet.

I have changed my mouthpieces from standard mouthpieces to Wick Heavytop and Bach megatone trumpet and cornet mouthpieces.
Received a Bach megatone 5B cornet mp. today. Not sure if I like it.
Waiting on a Bach 5 C megatone trumpet mp ordered from ebay.
Selling the Wick Heavytop 3 C, with the Getzen Renaissance trumpet.

Well, whatever Getzen you stick with I imagine it will play well.

The only Getzen trumpet I was not very pleased with was a piccolo I tried several years ago.

Thanks. I may be wrong but think the Getzen Renaissance trumpet is more likely to sell at a decent price.

                                      Administrator,
Thanks for the encouragement. I want to sell the Getzen Renaissance Renaissance trumpet for more than I paid for it. Adding four mouthpieces and a CD should be helpful.

Placed the Getzen Renaissance trumpet on ebay with a best buy option.

Sold the Getzen Renaissance trumpet on ebay. Luckily I had two late bidders. Very happy with the bids.
