We're off to a good start

It's surely light and lights up with just a whisper. I started with an 11B4, tried the wide rim 7 Bachs and finally gave the 3C Shew a try. Lately I've been focusing mostly on how my embouchure works and I start to believe bigger is better for me, I can put more lip inside the mouthpiece, and I'm getting attached to these:
I don't know or care for the specs; the 82E is a bit of an overkill, but the Holton feels really good.PS: I bought a big batch of used and very old mps some months ago.

What can we do to build our user base? I believe that TH has something like 70k registered users. We only have 130 to date.
-
Shamelessly promote it on other sites to get backlinks and deliberately launch some posts echoing the most common questions regarding trumpets and trumpet playing on Google.
-
I've already promoted it on TH. I don't want to spam them. Where else do I promote it? TrumpetMaster?
-
Reddit, Facebook groups, anywhere a question about trumpets/trumpet players leads to. I will also try to do a bit of promotion.

A little math.
We have 130 @ 5 weeks = 26 new member/week.
26 members/wk x 52 wks in a year - 1,352 members/year.70,000 TH members/1,352 members TB members/year = 51 years.
Hey, perhaps we are on course, as hasn't TH been around for 51 years... or does it just seem that way!
-
OR we could have TB's Medical Moderator give out free lip enhancing anabolic steroids for the first 69,870 NEW members. We will be to 70,000 in a week, just wait and see.

Better to have quality than quantity. Of TH's 70k, how many actually are actively visiting the site? I think more and more TM members will keep trickling in over time. Also, as content builds, people will end up here in threads by googling topics being covered here.
-
I want professionals. However, I want to avoid the crap that drove them away on the other sites.
-
Right now most of us have more answers than questions, as we've been around awhile, and there are fewer mysteries to solve. As newer, less experienced players find TB, we'll have more technical chat, and we all can learn from whatever comes up. Also, we'll find things we want to learn more about. It will evolve. What's that rule again?... oh, yeah... patience.

That would be me. Trying not to get caught up in the gear acquisition thing. I find music theory way more interesting than gear . . . . uh, well except for vintage synths . . . . and, uh, maybe a Martin Comm. A nice drum kit would be nice though, ahh, just forget what I said about the gear.

These things don't trend linear. We haven't reached critical mass, and won't until there are more topics of substance. That's fine for now.
Oh, if nobody noticed, jazzspazz has moved the troll show over to TH.

Agreed. I did say a little math. It is truly hard to predict trends, especially at this early date. And with jazzspazz now working his magic on TH, perhaps more TH members will come here to avoid the pain. Maybe, just maybe jazzspazz does not find out about TB either.

As a comeback player, I’m one the less experienced players here on TB and so far I really like what’s happening here. I like the friendly tone of the responses and comments. I think it will help attract the less experienced players, especially young students, and create word of mouth that, over time, will make this forum a success. Hopefully the nasty grumps from TH will stay away!

The TM community, by and large, made room for us hacks to contribute. This is not generally true at TH, which always had more of a "dog show" vibe, despite a roughly equal representation of "What mouthpiece should I buy to hit double-C ?" posts.

I sure hope so, and not an impersonator. I think we'll know for sure when he makes his first post
Welcome aboard, Robin. What took you so long???

And can we get a brief synopsis of the death of TM ?
Welcome, Robin. Our legitimacy just took a leap forward.
