RIP Trumpet "Master"

I'll about bet that if we haven't heard anything by now, TM is dead?
-
Sure looks like it. As i said on TH, it could even be health related. Hope the mysterious MJ simply won the lottery and is on a beach somewhere drinking a cold beer and smoking a big fat ceegar;)
Instead of the alternative.....
-
I never had a sense that MJ was anything but cordial, caring, responsible and professional; I can't imagine him abandoning TM. I hope that TM didn't succumb to sabotage, like I believe BrassReview did, but it's not out of the question. I hope that MJ is well, but I'm not convinced that he is.
-
When was the last time he posted? I cannot ever remember seeing him. I have been here about 3 years....
-
@N1684T MJ was not a prolific participant, but he would comment from time to time and leave a "Like" or two or three when what he read moved him to do so. Latest post? Maybe a couple of months now.
-
I would hope that if the founder (MJ) just ran out of gas and was tired of it, he would have turned it over to someone else.
-
I recall MJ posting from time to time about Monettes for sale on eBay. Google search doesn't show any recent postings, last that I can see from in were in 2017.
(search site:trumpetmaster.com MJ)

When TM still had a heartbeat, someone asked where he was and was he posting. Based on his profile stats, 1/19/19 was his last check-in/log-in.
-
@Kehaulani Starting to look that way.
-
It is sobering that in this high-tech world where even your washing machine is computerized, an unknown event for one person can take down an entire community that evolved over a lengthy period of time.
-
Wasn't there a political brew ha ha right before it went bye bye ???
-
@A-N-A-Mendez No-Toby and I had a dialog about a post but it was civil and ended well, and we're both on here now
-
Before TM went down for what appears to be the final time, there was a troll that bragged about being able to circumvent whatever barriers there may have been to prevent him from inflicting himself on the forum. Coincidence?
-
that was a few weeks before it went down, i think.

I think it was just a coincidence. It had been down a few months earlier. What is curious is no one is willing to divulge who the owner is/was. Very early posts at TM suggest that the owner is known by more than just their screen name. Not that it matters, it's just a point of curiosity now.

I donโt doubt someone could do that. It is frightening what people can do, and what is being done.

Can anyone contact sethoflagos? I always thought his TM posts were interesting and insightful; and it would be great to have him here. Also, any of the British, Dutch, etc. members of TM would be great. Even if the trumpeting things are somewhat similar from country to country, the points of view about world affairs were really diverse and very interesting from the non-yanks. We might already have an Australian or two here from TM, but more of them would be great as well.
-
...flugelgirl too. Need more ladies. Too much testosterone on trumpet sites sometimes....
-
@Newell-Post She's on LinkedIn and indirectly on Facebook. I have no account with either, so if someone does wants to contact her, this would be the easy way.

I may "know" who the owner is!
