Spread the Word and Help Lower my Blood Pressure
-
Incorrect use of the word βmyselfβ is maddening. It is rampant in the U.S.A. these days.
-
How do you feel about "bigly"?
-
Sounds like a first world problem to me...
-
I don't bother myself over such issues...
-
"There's" is so rampant there's almost no point in trying to mention it. Nobody's listening or cares.
"There is", is singular. "There are" is plural. "There's" is singular, not plural. English 101.
Ex: There's 20 cars in the parking lot. No. There are 20 cars in the parking lot.Geez.

There are 20 cars in the parking lot....but there's a flat bed truck hauling the 20 cars from the parking lot.
Hopefully, that makes it all right again?

@Niner
Never heard of bigly, but it doesn't sound like someone trying to use big words that are wrong.

You have a very good point, but that one again isn't someone trying to sound highfalutin so it don't bug me
Besides, a lot of us hicks from my area talk like that. We want it in the dictionary as correct cuz itz easier to say. -

It bothers me the most when I hear libtards who have journalism degrees say it. To be fair, hearing a libtard say much is irritating enough in the first place.

Good one Doc
βIt depends on what the meaning of the word 'is' is.
Now there I go quoting the man with a nose like a vacuum cleaner.

Actually, it was a finger movement miss-key and I fixed it (but thanks for the head's up). So if you want the gig as my editor on the TB site, it's yours as I believe my prior TM editor is no longer up for the challenge!

I'm not sure that speaking mockingly of people who have opposing political POVs is very constructive, liberals or conservatives. That lumping of people into either/or is part of the problem, today.
-
@Brian-Moon if "bigly" is foreign to you, how about "covfefe"? If you are in Michigan you must have noticed at one time or the other listening to the broadcast news. A very important role model uses those terms ...coined them actually. They must be in the full international up to date English dictionary by now. Correct word usage changes all of the time.

You're right. I shouldn't have started the political discussion. I am just tired of certain haughty people. I'll go back to my grammar vent.

I don't think that a misspelled word is related to incorrect usage of a word,. Someone else can start a spelling rant if they'd like to.

As far as blood pressure goes, a little exercise goes a long way...
