You seem to be very knowledgeable, I suspect with academic credibility, and have great resources. I also suspect your playing abilities are professional level. If my speculation is correct could you consider adding some more complete analysis / commentary to the routines you are posting.
Concerning this specific routine, on TH, and perhaps TM, this routine used to be credited to Dave Belknap, who posted it in 2004. Do you know whether he was the originator of this routine, or did this specific combination come from someone else?
As a 6 year comeback player, this routine is very challenging for me. Someday I hope it easily becomes part if my “daily warmup and cool down”
I will attach Dave Belknap’s TH post as well as a link to a YouTube demonstration by the late Lex Samu.

I've seen this for decades. Even previously posted at least twice. IMO it's a very good routine.
My understanding is that it was originally constructed for players coming off a long lay-off. Further, that was adopted and very popular with West Coast studio guys.

I found and used it a few years ago (pre COVID) after I was inactive for three weeks due to pneumonia. Now it is a regular (although rotating) part of my warm up.

Rest is the best medicine but when you have shows coming up right away this Schlossberg Routine from Dave Belknap is a big help. I remember back in the day having a week with Ringling Brothers, the Temptations the next week, a Broadway Show with Tommy Tune and some subbing with the Symphony. I would come home after the gigs and do much of this routine at night, kept me going.
Rest as you noted above is good advice, but when you cannot rest (as you noted in some practical situations) then you also have message. Massage during the performance (sometimes ice massage after the performance) works well. Getting the lactic acid out of the muscle (through massage) is key. Lets put physiology to work, yes? If not, it becomes pathology.

@dr-go Trading message for massage would provide improved benefits overall. True, you need to get the message about the massage first; otherwise the message gets lost, and you miss the massage.
