      I found my way back to playing Trumpet and Cornet all over again, after major, major, oral surgery, complete full dentures, etc... and re-learning how to play all over again.

      Where there is a will, there is a way! It can be done! 🙂

      1967 Holton Collegiate Trumpet --> my grade school band trumpet. I just can't part with it!
      1975 Olds Ambassador Cornet --> my new/used eBay special. Sounds great!
      2018 Regiment WI-800 Bugle --> my inexpensive Chinese made bugle from Amazon.

            You're getting a nice sound. I bet you will get a lot of your chops back and maybe more. Good luck!

              Best of luck for your return to trumpet playing. You’ve got the tone, so the rest should follow with a bit of work. 👍

                Congratulations 🙂 I had two surgeries and a tooth infection that resulted in a lower partial. I still work on it each day. I found posting youtube vids helped me a little. I had something to work toward. I find I must use a very slight mouthpiece placement change.

                  @butcha

                  Great to see and hear that you are alive and kicking, Butch. When I made my comeback in 2016 after a 50 year hiatus there was one big difference, I was now, at age 79, sporting a full upper denture and a partial lower denture. It was like learning to play all over again, but it can be done. You have the determination and the love for music that is needed so I have no doubts whatever that you will be playing well long before you think.
