Obviously its $30;)
Just kidding, very beautiful trumpet! I just bought my first Olds Special Trumpet. A Mendez and a Recording are on the bucket list, just not right now....
-
@N1684T Looking forward to your review....
-
I'll pay $35!!
-
$36 here
-
If only it worked like that!
Oh...and in case it does work like that...I’ll take it up to an even $100.
-
I remember when eBay first came out Recordings were a fairly frequent listing and could be had for $400-$600 in some cases. I wish I would have snapped one up then.
-
Wish i had snapped up ALL of them then. Ambassador, Mezdez, Special, Recordings, all would have been nice investments. I think they STILL are, but no one can be sure.....Even Ambassadors sure have gone up in 3 years.....

Gorgeous trumpet.

I upgraded to an Olds Recording at about that time - played in HS - while traveling in Spain during a Junior Year Abroad program, it was stolen form my VW bug. Ultimately replace with a used Selmer Paris.
In our NHorizons community band i find trumpet players coming in and out of the section with Olds Recoders. Fond memories. But i have moved on -- just memories.

Memories are good. Girlfriend usually watching MASH reruns when i show up on weekends. The MASH theme takes me back to 7th grade band every time. One of the first TV show theme songs i figured out how to play. I was copying another kid though, but i went on to figure out a lot more in Jr High;)

When I was in High School Band, the older guys started talking about Herb Alpert and the Tijuana Brass. I was soon playing his songs along with them and caught on fairly quickly.
