I commend you all for going out and participating in these events. Wether a paid gig or community participation. As long as you enjoyed the experience is all that matters in the end. I've been so busy with work I've put any playing aside. I'm saddened to my core for that and I am proactively looking to change that this year. Hope you all had a great Christmas.

It's just semantics. There is no real difference.

In the interview Alison Balsom talks about the Wynton Marsalis Trumpet Cocerto. Here is a sample of it, followed by a review of her outstanding performance.

@barliman2001 It's an easy transposition - up a major 3rd. You could also just write it out and make your own part. Something to do on the train. Not too many notes in the Brahms for trumpets. I always played C trpt in my career as an orchestral trumpeter. Up a step is even easier. I've worked hard learning how to transpose at sight so it's automatic now. All the different transpositions. Wagner, for ex., calls for trumpets in different keys sometimes changing every few bars.

I would substitute Vincent Bach's Hungarian Melodies for one of the above (I have one in particular in mind).

      Here's a very nice performance:
